Full Hour | In today’s second hour, Dom welcomes Warrington Police Chief Daniel Friel onto the Dom Giordano Program. Friel, who also serves as the President of the Police Chief’s Association of Bucks and Montgomery County, yesterday spoke with other public safety leaders and elected officials, introducing bill packages in effort to combat policies coming out of Philadelphia that have led to an increase in crime in the suburbs. First, Friel explains the purpose of such a statement, offering statistics of certain crimes that have prevailed in the light of Philadelphia’s spike in crime, offering reasons why suburbs have been targeted for crime. Then, Friel and Giordano go through multiple initiatives launched by Philadelphia that have had a negative implication on the suburbs.

Then, throughout the rest of the hour, Dom bumps between multiple topics, including news of protests at the Phillies game due to their use of facial recognition technology for admittance into Citizens Bank Park. This kicks off a long conversation between Dom, Dan, and the callers about the efficacy of facial recognition technology and the way that those on the right must approach inevitable technological advancements.
