It’s 2021 and we’re nearly a year into a global pandemic. With the promise of 2 weeks to flatten the curve to a year with 3 waves, multiple variants and no end in sight, it’s hard. And it’s ok that it’s hard. We live in a world of toxic positivity, that teaches us to find the blessing, to look for the silver lining, to be positive, optimistic… and I believe those are vitality important to hope. But I also believe they are natural set points, not something we have to struggle to find each day. And that can only be found when we allow ourselves the privilege of feeling and healing the hard stuff. 

Shamans for centuries were best skilled at restoring one’s soul within 3 days of a traumatic experience. These days we are going back 40 years to recall the soul. We are living in a tumultuous time. We are living in uncertainty while the majority of the world loves certainty.

Walking In The Dark:

In today’s episode Tonya shares why it’s so important for us to be willing to walk through the dark. Most “modern” work keeps us at the level of the problem, at the level of the mind, but not at the level of the soul. It skips over our emotions and ignores our soul altogether. With modern mindset being focused on positive vibes only, good vibes only, just think positive, our depth and range of emotions blocks who we are by burying us under toxic emotions that block the flow of energy. 

When we allow ourselves to walk through the dark, we allow ourselves the full range of our experience, to open up to all that we are, release and purge the experiences and things that hold us back, allowing us to access the truth of who we are and what we want. Then we are brave enough to move forward to create a new story and move into the future of what we want and move away from what we don’t want, one that fully allows us to live and be alive in our life, consciously creating the life we want, not settling for the one we don’t.
