In this episode, Daisy chats with Maddie Gentile, a licensed massage therapist and wellness entrepreneur. Maddie is the founder of Manual Movement - a healing offering that combines massage, movement and breathwork for anyone that wants “to have a deeper understanding of what their body is communicating.” After many years yo-yo-ing between Western and Eastern approaches to manage her autoimmune disease, Maddie was inspired to get to the root of the problem by studying soft tissue manipulation through both approaches at Pacific College of Health & Science and Ischemic Compression technique under DPT, Vinita Chandra Modey. Her experience in fitness and consistently active lifestyle - including a stint on the founding team at Dancebody - also fueled her curiosity and informed her studies. Daisy highlights Maddie’s passion for facilitating healthy movement and consequently wellbeing as they discuss how the body stores energy. By identifying physical imbalances and correcting patterns with small incremental changes over time, we can optimize our lifestyle, get out of pain and unlock our natural intelligence - mentally and physically. Listen in to learn how. // Wild Wild Show Notes: Maddie Gentile (@Maddie_mmt / Manualmovement.com), Dancebody (@dancebody), “Breath: The New Science of a Lost Art” by James Nestor, “Anatomy Trains: Myofascial Meridians for Manual and Movement Therapists” by Thomas W. In this episode, Daisy chats with Gabe Kennedy, award-winning chef turned wellness entrepreneur. Gabe is the co-founder of Plant People - a product line of “doctor-formulated, regenerative plant and mushroom supplements that unlock the potential in people.” Gabe drew upon his upbringing in Boulder, CO and experience in the food and CPG worlds to co-create this line of products. When he discovered the healing benefits of hemp when treating his own traumatic spinal injuries, he was inspired to bring effective, natural solutions to other people. Some accolades to add: Gabe won ABC’s primetime cooking competition series, The Taste, and was recognized as a Forbes 30 Under 30 talent for this work. His affinity for plant-based nutrition, sustainability and alternative wellness approaches is evident in this chat with Daisy as they discuss the healing power of plants, self reliance and community. // Wild Wild Show Notes: Gabe Kennedy (@gabe_kennedy / gabekennedy.com), Plant People (@plantpeople / plantpeople.co), Co-founder of Plant People: Hudson Gaines-Ross (@hudsongainesross)

Daisy recently spoke with Anu Gupta -- scientist, educator, lawyer, avid meditator and the Founder of BE MORE with Anu.
