  • Are they really pesky, though?

In this episode, I am talking about "pesky" weeds that are actually amazing herbs. You may have 'medicine' in your backyard and you may not even realize it.

I talked about plantain, but I mentioned that it is better to research under the name Plantago.

  • How To Know What Herbs To Use

I know from experience how overwhelming and frustrating it can be when trying to choose what herbs to use. For example, let's say you have respiratory issues, and you look up "what herbs are good for respiratory issues", you will get a long list of herbs. Which herb or herbs do you use?

In this episode, I give 8 tips on how to narrow down which herbs to use.

    In this episode I mentioned:

    • The Modern Herbal Dispensatory Book
    • United Plant Savers

  • How to Wildcraft/Forage

Have you ever wanted to learn how to forage, but you don't know where to begin? In this episode, I share the difference between wildcrafting and foraging, six wildcrafting/foraging etiquette tips, and six ways to start learning how to wildcraft and forage.

I joke all the time about how if the Zombie Apocalypse were to happen, it would be very beneficial to have me around because I know what plants are edible, medicinal, and dangerous. However, in all seriousness, what would happen if we all went off-grid? It may not happen in our lifetime (although the last 5 years has shown us anything can happen), but it may happen in our children's lifetime, or their children's, and it would be great to pass this knowledge down to gernations.

In this episode, I mentioned a few books:

Field Guide To Edible Wild Plants, by Same Thayer's

Medicinal Herbs of California, by Lanny Kaufer

California Foraging, by Judith Larner Lowry

These are some of my favorite foraging books, but you can look for foraging books in your area. Try searching for your state or region (for example, "foraging books for the Southeast" or "foraging books in the Midwest".

These are two websites that I find very beneficial here in California. If you are not in California, but with a quick search, you can find websites like this in your state. These websites share about native plants.

Califlora I find this one a little more beneficial for foraging.

  • Seasonal Allergies and Detoxing

Spring is right around the corner, which I love! Spring is my favorite season, I love it when everything starts to bloom, the days get longer, and the days get warmer. Unfortunately, though, this also means that it is seasonal allergies season. In this episode, I share herbal and holistic remedies that may help with seasonal allergies.

Also, in the holistic world, spring is the time to detox. In this episode, I didn't talk about parasites, candida, or heavy metal cleanses/detoxes. I might do so in another episode. In this episode, I talked about the six eliminating organs and how to give them some extra love so they can detox efficiently after winter.

  • Why I did the Carnivore Diet

If you are against the carnivore diet or fad diets in general, I totally understand. Four months ago, I was the same way until I did a deep dive into researching the carnivore diet and tried it myself. Even if you are against this topic, maybe give this episode a listen, and I may be able to give you a different perspective.

In this episode, I talk about why I decided to do the carnivore diet, my experience with the carnivore diet, the benefits of this diet, tips on how to do this diet, and what I am doing now.

I do believe in bio-individuality, so I believe that what works best for me might not necessarily work for you, but this is an option.

In this episode, I talked about:

    • Redmond Real Salt
    • Baja Salt

This might seem like an obvious topic, but I don't think most people realize "how" important nutrients are. I strongly believe that our society is so undernourished.
