The Global Agora

Will Meloni compete with Orbán? And will her support for Ukraine continue?

Listen Later

Daniele Albertazzi is a Professor of Politics and Co-Director of the Centre for Britain and Europe at the University of Surrey. He is focusing on right-wing populism, Italian politics, political communication, and party organization. He reacted to one of my tweets and it led to our podcast discussion. We talked about the foreign and domestic policies of Italy's Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, about her possible competition with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán over the leadership of the European radical right, and also about whether Meloni's support for Ukraine will last. And do you want to know what tweet of mine triggered this debate? Listen to our conversation. And if you enjoy what I do, please support me on Ko-fi! Thank you. https://ko-fi.com/amatisak
