The night before Thanksgiving in 2020 Kell McKelvey snuck out of his grandparents house to meet a girl. His mom woke up a couple of hours later and realized he was missing. She tracked his phone with hers, to the parking lot of the Palmilla apartments. She found Kell laying face down on the pavement, he had been shot in the heart and was dead. A year later there has been no one arrested in his murder.
