Poor Charlie Bucket (Peter Ostrum) doesn't have much more than his dreams when a mysterious candy man, Willy Wonka (Gene Wilder) sends five golden tickets out all over the world. The finders of these tickets win a tour of the famous factory where nobody ever goes in and nobody ever comes out. Augustus (Michael Bollner), Violet (Denise Nickerson), Veruca (Julie Dawn Cole) and Mike Teevee (Paris Themmen) and their parent meet up with lucky last minute winner Charlie and his dubious Grandpa Joe (Jack Albertson) for an unforgettable freak out into a land of pure imagination.
