Drew is the creator, writer and director of Sorry About The Murder. He is an accomplished podcast creator, writer and voice director who works out of TA2 Sound + Music in Toronto. He created the award-winning sci-fi audio comedy HUMAN-B-GON (for which he won Best Director at both the LA Webfest and New Jersey Webfest). He was Voice Director on animated series like Crack-Duck and Terrifficland. Drew grew up in Wawa, Ontario so you’d think he wouldn’t be such a suck about winter. Robyn Deverett has an impromptu chat with Michael Lake, while at a networking event at Tulum where Michael shared that he was a "Window Chats with Robyn" fan.

Michael Lake is an award-winning actor with over one hundred onscreen credits. He was awarded Best Actor from the Alternative Film Festival in Toronto for his portrayal of the titular character in the psychological thriller "Edwin". The co-founder of Hollow Ground Pictures, he has also produced and starred in several films under their banner, including "Citizen Normal", "Days of Violence", "My Dying Heart" and the upcoming features "Mister E", "The Dark Factor", and "Down a Dark Street." Other film credits include "Purgatory", "Dog Shadow", "The Treatment", "Powdered Ink", "Nightfall", "Group", "Goodnight, Light", "1787", "Culturegiest", and the upcoming dramas "The Dreamers of Fae Woods" and "Made of Stars". A dedicated and hard-working artist, he's happiest on a film set.

Robyn Deverett chats with Umar after only meeting him 5 minutes before at the TIFF Conference Centre at the CBC building in downtown Toronto. This talk takes place outdoors, right across from the Toronto CN Tower.

Umar Farooq Khan is a film-maker, actor and producer, that has been working in the film industry for over a decade. He has done multiple roles for television shows on most of the major streaming platforms, including Netflix, Disney+ and Apple TV+. Khan also played the lead in a feature length film he created called, Dil Rakh: Gloves of Kin, which is available on Amazon Prime and Hulu. Through his company, Champ Productions Inc., he is producing and starring in multiple feature films to be made in North America, South Asia, as well as the Middle East.
