The time has come! Emily and Ky take a fond trip down memory lane through this season's episodes. We had guests! We were guests! We found the ants on drugs video! We documented people blowing up a whale! We discovered just how antisocial Jon Arbucle is! It was a great season. Rest now, Cephalopods, or tune into our rich back catalogue. We'll be taking a casual break for a month. We'll be back June 12th, coming in hot with a season opener in Pride Month!
Emily and Ky are back to talk more about Suddenly Amish, and thank God, because there is drama for days! From cultures clashing when someone's mother visits, to mysterious late night assignations, there's a lot to speculate on this week. We also learn who decided to continue with the church at the end of the show, and we learn only the tiniest possible bit about where they might be now. Emily and Ky still have questions, but none of them are about the tooth extracting device!
Emily and Ky are coming in hot with their personal experiences with the amish community, the mysteries of reality tv, favorite characters and moments, and why the Amish might really be onto something. Don't worry, they also discuss their favorite take out spots, and where they were born. Tune in next week for part two! This is our last topic for season 5!!!
Emily has nothing bad to say about this person based on direct experience! But listen, there is no denying it's weird, so it fits the brief, and if Emily does't get it out of her system, she might explode. What is the deal with Hilaria Baldwin? Is she, on any level, Spanish? Did she carry six pregnancies with seeming zero long term (or midterm for that matter) effects on her body of any kind? How many people did she fly out from Spain to see her get married with a little flamenco fan? Is she a terrible dancer? Emily and Ky are diving in, and finding few answers. Grab a pepino and listen up!
Emily, Ky, and special guest Keith are back, mostly to talk about boners, 90's toys, body part size misrepresentation, attending Sutherby's auctions, and Pearl Harbor II, but don't worry! They also get into Rotton Tail! Which villian drives the plot? Did the general die (the first time) in the funniest possible way? What's lost from a slasher flick when the mutant rabbit fails to catch the shot off head of an unidentified character in his hat? Can you wear a fanny pack to Sutherby's? What about a carabiner key chain? Are we buying or selling? When did we get to the ghost town? Where's me gold?? All this and more in Part Two of our Horror-days Easter Episode about Rotton Tail!
Join Emily, Ky, and special guest Keith for a hop down the bunny trail you won't soon forget! Once you figure out where you are...or like, what the plot is...or...anything else. Listen, this one's a clasic teflon plot, and if you wanted a comprehensive summary you wouldn't be listening to a podcast featuring two inebriated best friends! They may not make it very far through the movie in part one, but they do cover the effects of trauma, cat wrangling, if it's possible to be cool in school if you skip a few grades, and current events! Come back next week to see what other parts of the movie they talk about! Happy Easter, and Happy Passover!
Emily and Ky want their gold!!!!! But they don't have green blood! They're back from the Bush, and they're not beating around it either as they continue to unspool the plot of this wild 1990 horror movie. Ok they do spend a good ten minutes discussing nudity as a lifestyle, but they do also explain the leprechaun's hobbies and passions, and reminisce about past episodes!
Join Emily and ky for a spacey episode about an equally spacey villain in a movie they mostly compare to a porno. Meet Old Irish Man, and Old Irish Woman, who we only get to know for about five minutes before she's dead. Then, meet Baby Jennifer Anniston, Hunky Handy Man, Precocious Child, and...Ozzie. Emily and Ky explore confusing family relationships, misplaced tarantulas, and a guy who doesn't seem to know anything about cats before having to commit their own act of villainy: leaving early to meet their friend at the Bush. Don't worry, they'll get to part two next week!
Emily has emerged from Moving Hell (barely, temporarily) just in time for Ky and her to get an episode out on a sweet song featuring multiple bad choices, a very lopsided order, and sixteen tons of nuts. At least, it's a little bit about that. It's a lot about circus instructor stress, a surprise thunder storm, and how Emily's cats are taking the chaos. Make yourself a sundae and tune in! You'll never guess the name of Ky's favorite ice cream flavor!
This week, Emily and Ky discuss a possibly autistic detective dog take the teeny tiniest, frankly disappointingly small, bite out of crime. Their quest for good bullying advice continues, but at least they know what to do if they find a gun at their friend's house. To be clear, child abuse isn't funny, but then bullying isn't either. What is funny is the seemingly endless out-of-touch attempts by adults to advise kids on how to handle these issues. Emily and Ky are still only endorsing one tip: just do a kip up! Maybe it'll put you in the major leagues? Please excuse our audio while we grow into our new microphones, courtesy of our sponsor, Teddy!
