It's the Winter Finale Episode! We are done with the Neverland arc! We never have to deal with Peter Pan or Neverland ever again! It's been 800 years. How did we ever survive?

In other news, Pan starts a curse and to stop the curse, Regina has to enact ANOTHER curse. Apparently those cancel each other out, now.

We love a switcheroo! Especially when no one is the wiser. We just love seeing Regina so happy and delighted that her son finally wants to spend time with her, knowing that it's actually Peter Pan in disguise. We love Emma being all up on her high horse because no son of hers would ever choose the Evil Queen over her! And more than anything, we love a B plot that has literally no effect on the present.

Hey hey hey! Did you know that Peter Pan is actually Rumplestiltskin's dad? Well you do now! Like father like son, the cycle started with this bastard man, who literally abandoned his child to turn into a teenager with a punchable face.

Oh, and also Henry might be dying? We just don't know! But Mr. Gold is in a box, so we're probably screwed.

Finally! We are meeting the biggest threats! The threats that are MORE dangerous than Greg and Tamara! The threats that could ruin everything and put everyone in danger! They are..... a couple of hipsters looking for their matcha tea lattes.

FINALLY, a calm in the storm of the hellhole that is Neverland. Sure, we're still trapped. And sure, we still hate this half of the season, but it's impossible to not be OBSESSED with Regina pretending to be Ursula to trick Ariel into giving Snow White a pair of fins. 10/10 execution.

Other stuff probably happens too, but does it really matter? Who cares if David's stuck on Neverland forever even though Mary Margaret desperately wants another baby. And who cares that Emma wishes Neal had remained dead. That's probably fine! Who c a r e s that Gold tries to get with Ghost-Belle-That's-Actually-a-Shadow.

In a SHOCKING turn of events, we have a backstory episode that will have no weight or impact on future episodes! Oh wait.... that's most of this entire season. Our bad! In a pathetic attempt at a redemption story for our beloathed Killian, we're given his tragic backstory of military missions, Pegasus sails, a lying king, and a brother that dies after slicing his vein open with Dreamshade.

Oh yeah, and David gets healed but can never ever ever leave Neverland. Whoopsies! It's a BAD time!

What's worse than Peter Pan blowing into a pan flute while making direct eye contact? No seriously, we want to know what. Because that seems like the WORST thing imaginable if you ask us! Episode four continues to drag our asses through Neverland, this time with some more Rumple/Pan backstory in which Peter Pan is the WORST and should certainly not be allowed around kids.

David is still dying, Henry is still kidnapped, and Rumple wants to preserve his own existence. Balance is restored.
