Chicago has a new Michelin star restaurant. It’s Cariño at 4662 N. Broadway in the Uptown neighborhood. The eatery features Mexican and Latin American inspired dishes prepared by chef Norman Fenton. It opened in 2023. The Michelin stars were awarded Monday night in New York. Michelin says its inspectors were delighted by the bold and creative tasting menu in addition to diligent and engaging service from staff. It says Fenton’s creations celebrate Mexican cuisine in an ambitious manner. Cariño is a Spanish word that refers to a feeling of fondness or love that a person has for someone or something. Chicago has 19 Michelin-starred restaurants. Four eateries lost stars this year. 

Northwest Indiana will be the location of a new facility that converts organic waste from the Chicago area into renewable natural gas. Listen for more below:
