Wintrust Business Minute: O’Hare’s revitalization project is on track
Steve Grzanich has the business news of the day with the Wintrust Business Minute.
A new report says Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson has proposed a deal with airlines that would keep the O’Hare project on track. Crain’s reports the mayor has told the airlines about a plan that would change the order of construction of new terminals that would keep the revitalization project on track without eliminating key pieces of the plan. United and American Airlines want to build the global terminal replacement for Terminal 2 sooner rather than later.
Also, plans to build a dining and entertainment complex at Goose Island have been scrapped. It’s unclear why the development didn’t move forward.
