1. DNA testing now confirms a Pewaukee native is the sole suspect in the murders of his three young daughters. The Washington State Crime Lab has determined Travis Decker's DNA was detected on the plastic bags found over the girls' heads, as well as cable ties found near their bodies. The Sheriff's Office out in Washington state just revealed the details in a news release. That release says the completion of the DNA analysis provides additional evidence that indicates Decker was the only person involved in the homicides. The girls were found dead back in June near a campground in central Washington. They were just five, nine, and eight. Decker is a former Army soldier, originally from Pewaukee. He has not been found yet.

2. Airports are rolling out a new way to fast-track through security as they get busier. Clear is partnering with TSA to launch new e-gates for Clear Plus members. It means travelers will no longer have to show IDs to TSA officers. Instead, they can verify their identity using a biometric scanner. There will be no interaction with a human, and you go straight to baggage screening. The program is already up and running in Atlanta's airport, with Seattle and Washington rated next before expanding to other cities

3. Downtown Milwaukee's first dog park opens today! This is a project that reshapes the downtown Riverwalk, adding 400 feet of new public access to the route. The dog park is located on Clybourn Street-- right across the river from the Public Market. We talked with Paul Schwartz, Executive Director of the Milwaukee Public Market, ahead of today's grand opening. He was one of the major players in making the downtown dog park happen. Schwartz says this is going to fill a big void downtown. The Grand Opening is at three this afternoon. Expect a ribbon cutting and "Yappy Hour!" The new downtown location requires a County 'dog park pass' that can be purchased on their website. The other really cool aspect of this development, is the "Foxtown Landing", which is slated to open in early 2027. Fromm Family Foods is planning a distillery, pub, restaurant, cocktail lounge, and event center at the space.

1. Milwaukee County is out with a new flood update. Here's what we know now, since the historic flooding on August 9th, emergency response teams and volunteers have assessed nearly 35-hundred properties in the county. More than 50 percent of the inspected properties are considered "destroyed" or having "major damage." Meanwhile, Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley says cities are still evaluating the impact on public infrastructure. Preliminary damage estimates exceed 34-million dollars. Crowley says FEMA could arrive as early as Thursday to do its own assessment. That's part of the process to determine whether our damage meets the requirements for a Presidential disaster declaration.

2. A Los Angeles woman, who prosecutors call the "Ketamine Queen", will plead guilty to federal charges in connection with the death of actor Matthew Perry. She's the last of nearly half a dozen people to take a plea deal in the "Friends" star's deadly overdose. After months of denials, Jasveen Sangha will admit she sold the drugs that killed Perry. She could face up to 45 years in prison. Perry died at his Los Angeles home in October 2023, hours after he was injected by his personal assistant. That assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa, has already agreed to plead guilty.

3. The National Retail Federation says families are projected to spend an average of $858 on all the back-to-school essentials. Retail experts say you may want to wait to buy new clothes. She also suggests buying store brands, instead of the more expensive name brands, and looking at refurbished electronics to save some money.

1. We are just minutes away from President Trump meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. This is Zelensky's first time at the White House since that explosive meeting in the Oval Office back in February. President Trump says Zelenskyy can end the war there, almost immediately if he wants to. Several key European leaders from France, Germany, the U-K, Italy, Finland, and NATO are joining Zelensky. A reminder: It was Russia that started the war in 2022.

2. Hurricane Erin has intensified overnight, with powerful winds and heavy rain battering Puerto Rico. Authorities are warning swimmers along the entire East Coast of the United States to be cautious because of rough rip currents. Meanwhile, a Boy Scout Troop from Plymouth is stranded in the Virgin Islands. The direct path of the Hurricane is not expected to pass over the Virgin Islands, but several flights are canceled and now the group is running out of funds to pay for additional food and shelter. Troop 851 has tentative flights back to Wisconsin scheduled for Friday and Saturday.

3. A New York-based apparel company is suing Kohl's. PSK Collective claims the Menomonee Falls based company hasn't paid for about eight million dollars worth of merchandise. The lawsuit was filed in U.S. District Court in Milwaukee. PSK is accusing Kohl's of "breach of contract", "intentional misrepresentation", and "theft by fraud" among other things. The complaint states PSK sent Kohl's 15-hundred invoices over roughly a year and a half and never got paid for them. The PSK brand is an active-wear line, founded by two women, including World Rugby Hall of Famer Phaidra Knight. It's meant to appeal to all body shapes and sizes. We've reached out to Kohl's to see if the company would like to respond, but have not heard back yet.
