This podcast continues releasing specific interviews held at the Healing Summit 2021 "Healing Ourselves, Healing the World". In this episode, Heather Ensworth Ph. D. interviewed Jason Engledoe, a seeker, social permaculturist, and storyteller. Their discussion focused on healing the individual and intergenerational levels - and how this can support healing at the collective level. Jason was born in Apartheid South Africa during a year that saw the biggest student uprising that would change the history of the country forever. He is an intrepid traveler and explorer of diverse physical and cultural places around the world as well as the depth of his own being and psyche. He left his beloved birthplace Cape Town at the age of 17, in pursuit of identity, belonging, and truth. Jason has lived and is educated in three countries outside of South Africa, including Germany, England, and Taiwan, R.O.C. With a diverse background in Education, Entrepreneurship, Martial Arts, International Trade, and Investment Promotion, he now lives in South Africa to be part of the change. After a return to his home country, which has one of the highest gini coefficients (income inequality) in the world, Jason is in pursuit of a new set of skills for transformation — including regenerative agriculture, social permaculture, depth facilitation, co-counseling, deep listening, authentic relating, and collective trauma healing. He is the founder of a Compassionate Listening Circle for men and has started a Racial Affinity Group for brown bodied South African men. He is also one of the founders of the program "Rooting Through Chaos" focused on helping others develop resiliency and adaptability in times of increasing change and uncertainty. He is also a practicing coach and mentor including working with underserved youth in South Africa. To contact Jason: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jason-eng...
