Have you ever really thought about this? The past is over! You cannot go back no matter how much you might wish you could and any thoughts you have about it, will not change what happened. But you can have peace about the path when you change the way you think and that's what Katie is reminding us of with this quote.
NOTE: Sorry about the poor sound quality on this one!
Also, a reminder that the next book for the Book Club is "I Need Your Love - Is That True?" by Byron Katie. We're starting on July 15 and if you join now, you'll be automatically entered for a chance to win a 90-minute Facilitated Session of The Work of Byron Katie with me, which is a $150 value.

It's time to stop complaining!
Yep, you heard me, no more complaining, and actually your challenge this week is to stop complaining and instead start focusing on what's going right! You might be surprised at the difference that can make in your life!
Complaining makes nothing better and generally makes things a lot worse. Why? Because like attracts like! When we complain, we pull in more things to complain about, which is why I'm suggesting that there's no better time than the present to stop complaining!
If you want to learn more about the benefits of making this change, tune into this week’s podcast where I tell you all about why this is one of the smartest things you can do right now to improve your life.
I also want to remind you that you're invited to join me for my upcoming Book Club! We'll be reading and discussing the book "I Need Your Love - Is That True?" by Byron Katie and we're starting on July 15.
Plus, if you join now, you'll be automatically entered for a chance to win a 90-minute Facilitated Session of The Work of Byron Katie with me, which is a $150 value.

When you fight with reality, you lose, but only 100% of the time!
That's a paraphrase of a quote from Byron Katie and it's true. All the pain, angst, anxiety, worry, frustration, sadness, madness in our lives comes from us fighting with what is... the reality of what is actually happening!
In today's podcast, I talk about what happened to me when my beliefs and perceptions lifted off me and I could see reality, and honestly, there's NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT... God, the Universe, Reality has got this and we can trust it!
I get that this is a BIG MESSAGE, and I really want for you to get it! LIfe is truly happening for us, not to us and there are bigger forces at play than we can ever (or need to) know.
Also, The Book Club where we're reading Katie's book "I Need Your Life - Is That True?" will start now in July, not in June. You can sign up here.

The only difference between heaven and hell is believing a thought. - Byron Katie
We've all been there, believing those pesky thoughts that aren't true and are torturing us and putting us in hell, right?
The good news is that you don't have to stay there! Katie's method of inquiry is one quick way to find your way out and I talk about that here and why it's not helpful to always believe what you think!
If this intrigues you, you're invited to get out of hell and back to heaven by joining my Book Club starting in June where we're reading Katie's book "I Need Your Love - Is It True?: How to Stop Seeking Love, Approval, and Appreciation and Start Finding Them Instead."

When you stop fighting with reality, you win!
Today's message is a paraphrase of something Byron Katie says which is: “When you argue with reality, you lose, but only 100% of the time.” and she's right you know. When we're arguing with reality, not only are we losing, but we're also missing out on the beauty of what really is happening and the fact that we can trust what is happening because there is a bigger force than us in charge here and we can trust that. Not only can we trust it, but we can also sink into the fact that no matter what is happening, it's okay because it's happening!
I'll let Katie tell us how this works: "The only time we suffer is when we believe a thought that argues with what is. When the mind is perfectly clear, what is is what we want.
If you want reality to be different than it is, you might as well try to teach a cat to bark. You can try and try, and in the end, the cat will look up at you and say, "Meow." Wanting reality to be different than it is is hopeless. You can spend the rest of your life trying to teach a cat to bark.
And yet, if you pay attention, you'll notice that you think thoughts like these dozens of times a day. "People should be kinder." "Children should be well-behaved." "My neighbors should take better care of their lawn." "The line at the grocery store should move faster." "My husband (or wife) should agree with me." "I should be thinner (or prettier or more successful)." These thoughts are ways of wanting reality to be different than it is. If you think that this sounds depressing, you're right. All the stress that we feel is caused by arguing with what is."
If any of this resonates with you and you want to learn more, join me next month in my Wise Words from the Woods Book Club, where we'll be reading Katie's book: I Need Your Love - Is That True? and delving more into the freedom that is The Work of Byron Katie.
