As we call The Snake Spirit into our circle today, I want us to think about the serpent in a broad, powerful way. Snake energy overall is about transformation, healing, primal vitality, and of course shadow work. It’s that universal, archetypal serpent ... the one that slithers through myth and medicine, through the soil and the subconscious, reminding us that growth is always a process of shedding and beginning again. That’s where we’ll focus our energy in this episode: Snake in its fullness, the general essence of what this animal spirit brings into our practice! The Snake teaches us about shedding ... about releasing the skins we’ve outgrown and stepping into the raw, new, and powerful versions of ourselves. It reminds us that transformation is not always comfortable, but it is always necessary. The old scales must fall away so the brilliance beneath can shine. And, oh my goodness …. Just right on track for everything we are going through and doing together and the perfect spirit to follow after all of our crow energy in August!

I want you to imagine that moment when the trail takes a turn and suddenly the view open up. You are standing at a break in the tress, and there before you are endless ridges rolling into the distance, layers of blue and green fading into haze. That sight ... it makes you breathe differently. It slows you down. It roots you in awe. And, in that moment, it is impossible not to feel connected. That is the heartbeat of this episode. That sense of being both humbled and held. Both small and infinite. I want to share with you what the mountains stirred awake in me ... the moments of land connection, of shifting energy, of ancestral presence and of pure mountain magic. So come with me ... lace up your boots, feel the crunch of gravel beneath your feet and walk with me along this path. Let's see what the mountains have to tell us!

Welcome back to Part 2 of our journey with The Crow Spirit. If you’re just joining us, or if you’ve been flying alongside this energy all week, know this: you are exactly where you need to be! This space is sacred. This moment is intentional. And the crows? Oh, they’ve been waiting for you. If you have been called by The Crow Spirit… I hope you answer the call. Even if you don’t fully understand why (yet). Because no matter how the sign has crossed your path …. Even if it arrives in quiet moments, strange dreams, or the sudden flash of black wings across your path ... It has shown up. It happened. Crow energy doesn’t call lightly. It comes when something within you is ready. Ready to see more clearly, to speak more honestly, to transform in ways you may not have planned for ... but are more than capable of becoming. I hope The Crow Spirit guides you through the shadow and into your own sacred truth. I hope it reminds you that your magic is needed, your voice is powerful, and your next chapter is already circling above, just waiting for you to rise!

The Crow does not demand your worship. They don’t need constant offerings or praise. They simply want you to be awake. To watch like they do. To speak the truth. To stop pretending not to notice the shift inside you. They are not just birds. They are guides, mirrors, and messengers. Crows arrive when something is ending and something else is waiting to begin. They circle when your soul is speaking, and they stay when you’re brave enough to listen. If you’re hearing their cries echo in your bones... If you feel something shifting, breaking, clearing, realigning... I believe, you are being called. And, The Crow is waiting. In this episode, we’re going to explore why that is. What the crow represents. What messages it carries. And, how we can begin to truly listen when The Crow Spirit calls!

If you caught the first part last week, you know we’ve already walked through the runes, the roots of Yggdrasil, and the spirits who guide the Völva’s path. But today? We’re leaning into the shadowy, soul-deep side of this tradition ... where Seior magic, ancestral spirit work, and fierce, grounded power … come alive in our modern lives. We're going to talk about how witches like us (right here & right now) can honor these old ways with intention and reverence. We're going to explore what it means to feel this path calling to you. Even if you don’t have Scandinavian blood in your veins, if your spirit leans in when the wind shifts or a crow lands nearby ... this episode is for you! I mention Anika's podcast "Between Two Worlds" and her episode on Shapeshifting during today's Norse Witchcraft Part 2 episode. She does a great job explaining what shapeshifting is and how you can work with that energy ... here is the link: S1 Ep21 Shapeshifting, Skin Changing & Wards?

Today we start at the beginning. With the bones. With the roots. With the big, gnarled world tree that holds it all. And ... go ahead and get comfy (it’s a long one today). Maybe light a candle, pour yourself something warm or earthy and give yourself permission to just settle in for a bit. Because this episode? This one’s going to feel like stepping through a fog-laced forest, boots crunching softly over ancient soil, as we begin a long, winding walk down the path of Norse Witchcraft. The old northern traditions. The bones of the North. This is going to be a two-part journey and not just informational, but deeply personal too. We’re not just learning names and dates and symbols here… we’re walking alongside the ancestors, feeling into the roots of what was and how it still echoes in us now. This is your invitation ... not just to listen, but to feel your way through this with me. You don’t have to be of Norse descent to walk this path with reverence. You don’t need to already know the names or myths. All you need is an open heart, a curious spirit, and a willingness to explore. Let’s call in the old ways and … walk the path of the North together!

At its heart, Lughnasadh is the celebration of the first grain harvest. Think barley, wheat, corn ... everything golden and glowing under the sun right now. It’s that time of year when the fields are full and heavy with the results of long months of effort. Our efforts! The sun has been shining, the rains have come and gone, and now the Earth is ready to give us what we’ve worked for. Lughnasadh honors the labor of the season. The planting, the tending, the showing up again and again (even when it’s hard). It’s a time to pause and recognize and say ... hey, we did something. We made it grow. Whether it’s a physical garden or something more symbolic, this is when we start to see the fruits of our effort. But here's where it gets beautifully bittersweet. Lughnasadh is also a moment of sacrifice. To harvest the grain, we have to cut it down. The grain must die so we can be fed. That’s powerful stuff. It’s not just a celebration ... it’s a recognition of the sacred exchange: life feeding life. This sabbat reminds us that letting go isn’t always a loss. Sometimes it’s the doorway into our next evolution! Let's celebrate Lughnasadh together!

We live in a world that loves to divide things into good or bad, black or white, safe or dangerous. But witchcraft has never lived in such stark contrasts. It is messy, layered, nuanced. It holds multitudes. So today, I invite you to release the need to judge what you do not yet understand. I ask you to come to this topic the way a true witch approaches the work with reverence, with curiosity, and with an open mind. Today we are diving back into the basics with Witchcraft #103 and talking about the actual types of spells we have in our craft … and how to write them. We’re walking into a part of the craft that often stirs the deepest parts of who we are: the art of spellcasting, and the dual energy that pulses through it—dark and light, shadow and shine. I have a downloaded worksheet to help with this too ... just head over to our Patreon family and click, print & begin!

Earth itself is our oldest alter. Long before we lit incense or flipped through a grimoire, our ancestors knelt in the soil, drew circles in the dirt, and made offerings beneath the canopy of stars. The elements weren’t metaphors; they were companions. Fire for transformation, water for intuition, air for inspiration, and earth for grounding. Each one alive, speaking in a language beyond words. And within this sacred natural tapestry, it is the trees that stand as sentinels of memory and magic. Trees are more than wood and leaf. They are ancient guides, rooted in both the underworld and the heavens. Their roots drink from deep, hidden places. Their branches reach toward the stars. They teach us the truth of duality ... that we too can hold light and shadow, stillness and growth, the above and the below. When we lean against a tree, we aren't just resting; we’re recalibrating. Trees absorb what we carry ... the static noise, the ache in our hearts, the tension in our bodies. They offer us back a steadiness and a silence that heals. They remind us that slow growth is still growth, and that there’s power in being deeply rooted before reaching upward. Nature was our first teacher, and it remains our most faithful one.

Sacred homekeeping is the spiritual art of tending to your space with care, intention, and magical awareness. It is the gentle, powerful practice of transforming the mundane into the mystical! It is about honoring your home as a living extension of your inner world. As witches, we understand that magic isn’t reserved for moonlit rituals or elaborate altars. It lives in the everyday: in the way we sweep the floors, stir our tea, water the plants, and open the windows to let in fresh air and old spirits. Sacred homekeeping asks us to treat our domestic rituals as spells in motion, weaving energy into every corner of our space so that it becomes not just livable, but alive. From the grounding power of the hearth to the dreamwork done in your bedroom sanctuary, this episode is all about creating sacred space that supports your magic, your emotions, and your growth. July is the perfect month to focus on this energy ... pulling on and working with the energy of the Cancer sign!
