Award winning author and writing coach, Kim Clement, joins me today to talk about the very real struggle all of us face in feeling and believing that we're good enough. She shares how chasing this led to 2 years of bed rest while raising a family and how it's showing up for her again in supporting her teenage daughter who came out as gay during COVID.
We share tips, tools, and resources to help you heal, manage yourself, show up more effectively and authentically for yourself and family, 3 simple practices for when you're upset and frustrated and why trying to only be positive and grateful can sabotage you from peace and change.

We’ve been home more than ever before during the past year and as a mental health provider, I’ve seen this act as both a blessing and a challenge for everyone.
‘Home’ has taken on double-duty as a workspace, the office, the kids’ school, the only social space many of us may have, and where we connect virtually with the resources we have in our community.
This can simultaneously make home feel busier, overwhelming, or really emphasize some loneliness. It can challenge our desires to have the space in our four walls be the true sanctuary that we need and want.
Sharing 5 simple, time-tested tips to help you create sanctuary in your home wherever you are.
One of the biggest mental energy wasters we experience is found in the space of indecision. We agonize over making choices, right? What if it's the wrong one? What if I make a mistake? What if I change my mind?
This episode will help you see the pattern more clearly in your own life and show it some compassion.
Despite the world being on fire, we still have deep personal power. It's up to us if we're willing to make the decisions that allow up to tap into it on a spiritual level.
This episode will teach you:

Getting stuck in perfection is exhausting and yet so often we're in a compulsive cycle to do it! It's a buffer that our minds created to try to keep us from experiencing the pain of rejection.
This episode goes deeper into how this pattern happens and why. Awareness of this is literally half the battle! Plus, some tips on how to change this frustrating habit in your life.
I share some real examples of how the hustle of perfection drained me and also a recent example of how one question you can ask yourself can help you co-create with God when you're willing to shift out of chasing perfection.
Why me? Why this? Why now?
It's just not FAIR, but sometimes bad things happen to really, really good people! When it happens to someone else, we want to swoop and help.
One of my favorite "side effects" that I get to see for helping people improve their emotional coping skills is to see how their bodies respond. They can begin to heal! Everything from mystery pelvic pain, to reversal of Type 2 Diabetes start to resolve when our emotional pains and stress are given priority.
In this episode, I explain just how that's possible and the very real miracles that I've seen when we can intentionally manage the day to day and even old traumatic stress experiences in our lives.
