Within The Mist

Australia is home to many terrifying creatures, but there may be one so fearsome that even the natives won't go near it. It is a creature that can mimic the screams of a lost child to lure you to the lagoons it calls home before snatching you to your doom. Although there are various descriptions, they all agree that it is large, aquatic, and dangerous.

There have been bones suggesting that it exists or is a late holdover from the Ice Age. Regardless, the creature remains elusive.

Join Gary & GoldieAnn as they journey to the Outback to discuss the Bunyip!

During two weeks in 1944, the small town of Matton, Illinois would fall under the paralyzing fear of a creature or madman capable of releasing a sickly sweet gas into their homes. The victims would become unable to move and at the complete mercy of the assailant.

The mystery was never solved and many of the local government would claim that it never happened.

The eighties were a treasure trove of romantic comedies involving a “fish out of water”, when the hero finds himself in a world he has never experienced before.  The public adores these romantic comedies, so production companies were always on the lookout for the next big hit.

However, what happens when they discover the perfect type of story but make changes that may have angered a spirit of vengeance, so much so that it would claim the lives of seven Hollywood actors and prevent the movie from still being made?

Join Gary and GoldieAnn today, as they take a seat in the movie theater Within the Mist and watch the mystery of the Atuk Curse unfold.

A hunter, distracted by a personal matter, strays from the path, and finds himself too close to the East Cascade Mountain Range. Before he can turn around, he spots what he thinks is the biggest bear he's ever laid eyes on. Unfortunately, the creature he kills is a young sasquatch.

This spurs a break in a century old truce between men and the race of ancient Bigfoot on the other side of the mountain range.  What results is a town in danger with citizens fighting for their lives.

Holly Rae and Ryan Garcia have collaborated to bring the beginning of an altercation that mixes the lore of Bigfoot with horror for a fun read that will leave you wanting more.

Join Gary as he interviews the couple to find out how they decided to work together, how the idea of Bigfoot can be terrifying in unusual circumstances, and how difficult it can be for people to live in harmony with nature.  We also learn some tidbits on what goes behind writing horror stories and plans for future novels.

In 1974, fifty-five-year-old beauty salon operator Evelyn Wendt of Dade City, Florida, contacted the local West Palm Beach paper called “The Weekday” and asked to be interviewed by a reporter. She claimed that she had an extraordinary story to share with the world, and now the time was right to unveil it.

Before the interview was over, the story included an alien spaceship piloted by the strangest of creatures.  These creatures had a purpose in mind bent upon destruction that may or may not have had the best interest of our planet at heart.

Regardless, this woman’s tale describes an encounter so strangely wonderful that it deserves to be told.

So, Join Gary and GoldieAnn as they investigate the fields Within the Mist and discover the Dade City Flowers.

Chet's Melody Lounge is located across the road from Resurrection Cemetery where the locals come together to have a few drinks, listen to loud music, and discuss some of their favorite stories.

The popular ones are all remarkably similar.  It consists of a young man out on the town for a night of dancing and drinking.  Along the side of the road is walking a stunning young woman, with whom he asks if she needs a ride.  She agrees and climbs into the front seat of the car with the driver. She asks to be taken to Archer Road.

However, just as they reach the street and approach Resurrection Cemetery, located on it. He turns to the young woman to find that she has vanished, leaving no trace that she was ever there.

Drivers along Archer Avenue have described similar inexplicable encounters during the last eighty years.  All involving the same young woman in a white dress and dancing shoes who seems flesh and bone until she vanishes and reveals that you have met a ghost.

Join us today as we drive Within The Mist to meet Resurrection Mary.
