Over the past thirty years, dozens of stories keep spreading, all following a remarkably similar pattern. Children with eyes completely blacked out appear at people's homes or vehicles, knock on the door, and then insist upon getting inside. Anyone who encountered them has almost immediately felt an overwhelming sense of dread.

Join Gary and GoldieAnn today as we open our doors Within the Mist to discover the Black-Eyed Kids.

Lake Champlain extends north into the Canadian Province and is situated between New York and Vermont.  It is sometimes referred to as the "Sixth Great Lake".  These four hundred square miles of freshwater also has the distinction of being home for an elusive lake monster referred to as America's Loch Ness Monster with hundreds of documented sightings.

It is said to be between six and twenty-five feet long with exceptionally smooth skin, a humpback, and no scales.  It is not like any fish but seems to be a long-lost dinosaur that escaped extinction.

Join Gary and GoldieAnn today as we sail Within the Mist to discover Champ, the monster of Lake Champlain.

Ancient tales of those mysterious places where animals go to die have always intrigued us. Whether it is the “elephants’ graveyard” or the dying place of the bison, men for centuries have searched for the one spot within each region toward which old and wounded beasts struggle, driven by some instinctual urge during their final days. Even ancient Native American burial grounds hold a special mystique to them.

The area known as ‘Big Rock’ is a rocky peak that towers two hundred feet above the surrounding countryside. A small cave high on the side of the peak was also reputedly the home of the wolf, Old Raridan, who legend says was killed in an epic battle with local settlers at the end of the 18th century defending this sacred burial ground for the grey wolves. His ghost is said to prowl the area and howl from the cliff edge during a full moon, still guarding the dead.

Join Gary and GoldieAnn as we walk along the trails Within The Mist and discover the legend of Old Raridan.

Many of the urban legends and stories we tell about involve creatures that range from the scaly to the hairy. They do have one thing in common, however, in that they are animals. What about those that involve the plants? It is as though we see the forest but neglect the actual trees within.

Many of the most bizarre encounters involve plants with the ability to move, eat, and even speak. With as little as we really know about the various species of plants growing in our own backyards, it is not that impossible that some of the most amazing cryptids may be the green kind.

Join us today as we wander Within The Mist to explore tales of the plant cryptids and whether it is easy being green.

Every day, hundreds of ships are sailing across the oceans. Unfortunately, some do not make it to their destinations.  The open water is filled with secrets and has taken the lives of many of the sailors to keep those secret.

The existence of one such ship in 1948 that was found drifting in the middle of the Indian Ocean has been widely debated. If true, then all crew aboard were found not only found dead but in twisted configurations indicating that they perished from fright, yet the ship was undamaged, and their bodies showed no signs of injury. How did they die aboard this legendary ghost ship?

Join Gary and GoldieAnn this week as we sail Within The Mist into the depths of the mystery surrounding the SS Ourang Medan.
