Negative stress can be debilitating, high stress levels in the adrenal glands can cause them to increase cortizol levels which, over an extended period of time may cause all sorts of health challenges. 
• Exercise, hang out with friends, go on vacation, take a spa day, go to a museaum, festival or concert, take a guided visualisation, practice yoga or thai chi, do some deep breathing. All of thes activities will releive stress. Sometimes I like to go out & hug a tree, trees have a vibrational frequency that’s in alignment with our brains when we are in meditation.

However, I have been speaking with insurance brokers & some insurance companies are cancelling long-term client policies just for making a claim, so you may want to reconsider before you file a claim with your insurance company.
• Water intrusion is flooding, handled by companies (like Service Masters or ServePro, or Paul Davis), vs mold remediation. A mold remediation company removes any mold & replaces the insulation. Mold growth on drywall takes 5 days, on wood 2 weeks. If you address water intrusion immediately, you’re less likely to have mold.

Most people think energy is expressed out through the chakras and don’t realise energy also comes in through the chakras. • If you just KNOW information, you’re reading it through your crown chakra (conscience). If you’re reading visually, like auras, your third eye chakra is open (clairvoyance). If you can feel other people’s feelings that through your solar plexus chakra (clairsentience). If you can taste energy, that’s a chakra in your tongue (clairgoostance). If you can smell it, that’s a chakra in your nose (clairolfactance). There are thousands of chakras all over the body, but the main ones are all along the central channel.
• Chakras transmit and receive energy consciously and subconsciously. Sometimes when you’re around other people and they speak another language & all of a sudden it becomes easier for you to communicate in that other language, that’s because information is being transmitted through the chakra, this is called EFR (Energetic Field Resonance).
• When I ask a client with neck pain: “How’s work going?” there’s usually some kind of challenge or upset with it. People store stress in their throat chakra as well as the physical neck.

• New Years are a time of transition. A lot of people see them as a time to shift into something new, a different space, a time to think about what to create in the upcoming 12 months, look at resolutions or words that will categorise the year that’s coming up. It’s a time to pause, if you can, and reflect on what’s coming up.

• Sometimes we get distracted from our goals by emotional upset, there are a lot of things that push our buttons in life. When you get emotionally triggered it’s important to breathe and do some kind of grounding activity to try to shift the emotional energy out of your body. That could be exercise, yoga, talking a walk, doing art, talking to a friend, writing down your feelings on a piece of paper and burning it. Then, imagine you’re achieving that goal. That gets your mind into a state where you start finding creative answers to how you’re going to achieve that goal.

On this episode Ariel is joined by Kim Rahir to talk about her amazing journey from being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis to winning a European Masters Weightlifting Championship.

• One day I started seeing double, which is so scary. My immune system started attacking the muscle that keeps the eye in place. While I was in hospital undergoing lots of tests my legs started to lose sensitivity and in 2 weeks I was paralysed from the hip down. In the moment I was scared, but right now, I’m grateful for what happened because it put everything into perspective, you wouldn’t believe how much stuff I don’t care about anymore, like being late or your child getting a bad grade, I really know now what’s important and what’s not. 
• My doctor said my reflexes in the knee would never come back, but it came back with a vengeance, everything came back. I got so fit that I really didn’t have the mindset of a sick person. You could call it denial, but I really just wanted to live my life.
• I kept training and lifting and did some fun stuff I’d never dared to do before, like mud racing. I was in my 50s and I would never have dared to do these things when I was in my 30s, I was having a hell of a time! My personal trainer suggested I try Olympic weightlifting which I remembered watching on TV as a girl, and I loved it right away because it’s a mix of skill and strength and it’s explosive.
• I’m convinced that becoming muscular saved my life and my health helped me to get out of this illness. When I work with clients everything gets better in their life when they get stronger. Science has been catching up really quickly over the last few years, we know now that muscle mass and muscular health is responsible for metabolic health (blood sugar management), functional independence – which helps you to have more fun and a more fulfilling life, and improved mental health.
