Desire to Forgive

WOMEN OF GRACE host Johnnette Benkovic shares more of her wisdom on Our Blessed Mother in our lives. She shares that she continues to make a consecration to Mary with her fiancé. They are discovering a new avenue of the divine graces given to us through devotion to Our Lady. This will strengthen their upcoming marriage. Caller Maritza needs her marriage strengthen as she has found out her husband has cheated on her. She cannot pray and wants to forgive but she cannot. What can she do? Johnnette explains that it is not up to her to rebuild. She did nothing wrong. Her husband must work for the marriage to rebuild trust. It is a process to heal these wounds. Give ALL your suffering to Jesus. Desire to forgive. Sometimes you may have to desire to desire to desire to forgive. Alex calls in to give support to Maritza. Her father was a cheater and she has emotional pain due to it. She recently realized how strong her mother was during this. Kathy called and has a story or how she found out her husband cheated years ago and as he was getting closer to God knew he had to confess to her. She went to confession and the priest told her to say the words of Jesus on the cross. A Divine Impression

On Today Women of Grace host Johnnette Benkovic talks about a passage from a book by Gretrud Von Le Fort has left an impression on her. Taking Mary, Virgin and Mother, as her model, von le Fort reflects on the significance of woman's spiritual and physical receptivity that constitutes her very essence, as well as her role in both the creation and redemption of human beings. Mary's fiat to God is the pathway to our salvation, as it is inextricably linked with the obedience unto death of Jesus her son. Mary's acceptance of her maternity symbolizes for all mankind the self-surrender to the Creator required of every human soul. Since any woman's acceptance of motherhood is likewise a yes to God, when womanhood and motherhood are properly understood and appreciated, the nature of the soul's relationship to God is revealed. Christie called and wants to know how to get her parish and husband to consecrate to Mary. Johnnette shares that by doing this you will receive many graces. Caller Maura wants to know how consecration to Our Lady will help sharp her as a Catholic? This was an exciting question for Johnnette and her answer on today’s WOMEN OF GRACE is amazing.

Also discuss was the anti-religious behavior of Prudential Financial. Caller Melissa shared her thoughts of the Met gala and what Bishop Fulton Sheen would have said about it. Geri called in and shared her feeling of loss on this upcoming Mother’s Day. Connie wants to know if an upcoming elective procedure she is having done is considered a sin? Aqueduct of Grace

WOMEN OF GRACE host Johnnette Benkovic shares more of her wisdom on Our Blessed Mother in our lives. She explains that Mary disrupts graces from God to us. She is the one who gave flesh to the second person of the Trinity. She knows there are people who have a hard time with Mary. For this she says to ask Jesus to give you love for His mother. True devotion is soil for growth to Jesus. Caller Lauri wants consecrate her church to Mary. Should she approach them with St. Louis de Montfort or Fr. Michael Gaitley teachings? Johnnette says St. Louis de Montfort’s teachings have been around for decades and is a classic for devotion to Mary. Both are good and she should talk with her parish priest. Michelle on Youtube was abandoned by her mother and her step was abusive. She was grateful when she found a Church that honored a female. Now she has a love of Our Blessed Mother. The Consecration of the Diocese of St. Petersburg to the Immaculate Heart of Mary

“..As the first disciple and most perfect and faithful disciple of her son, she (Mary) is with Him and with God the Father in Heaven. She is where we hope and long to be one day and in her maternal care and concern, desires to help us through her intercession to achieve this end for which we were created……”

These are the words of Bishop Gregory Parkes on today’s Women of Grace. He is the bishop of host Johnnette Benokvic and the diocese of St. Petersburg Florida. This past weekend Bishop Parkes consecrated the diocese of St. Petersburg to the Immaculate Heart of Mary to a standing room only crowd. He explained the relationship he and many priests have with Our Blessed Mother. He explains that Mary points the way for Jesus help in leadership. We must draw closer to her Son. Johnnette agrees that Mary ‘mothers’ us to Jesus. Caller Emily asked how do we live the consecrated life. Bishop Parkes explains that we must pray the Rosary everyday. Any Marian devotions or prayers help and make sure you share with the children. Bishop Parkes share a story of an altar server who had not heard of the devotion to Mary and asked to Bishop to pray for him to become closer to Our Lady. Emulate Humility

On today’s Women of Grace host Johnnette Benokvic shares a quote from St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton about the gate of Heaven being low. We must have humility to get in. Our Lady is the standard of humility. She showed us in many ways how to humble ourselves. Mary always point to Jesus in everything. Catholic singer Kitty Cleveland called to tell Johnnette about how she recently had to show humility. Someone she knows said some negative things about her. She had to light the light shine in her even when hurt. She said that IF she was told she was going to be the Mother of God she would have posted it on Facebook and told the world. Mary was very humble. Caller Lori is getting a divorce and wants to know when she should remove her wedding rings. Johnnette says it is a personal decision with you and God. Natalia on Youtube wants to know what to do with her past. She feels like she does not belong in church. How can she overcome these feelings? Johnnette share wise words of forgiveness for one’s self on today’s WOMEN OF GRACE.

On today’s WOMEN OF GRACE host Johnnette Benkovic talks about how God promises not to trespass on your freewill. He will help you through your weakness and offer you the grace to make your stronger. To overcome our addiction we must use temperance. Temperance is our way of saying no to the evil one. Guidance may come in the form of a family member or spiritual director. Caller Eddie wants to know how to find a good spiritual director. Johnnette says it must be someone who is knowledgeable in the faith. As a mentor they must have walked the road and pitfalls of life. Observe people around you and note those that are holy around you. It is said that St. Teresa of Calcutta had several spiritual directors in every season of her life. Violetta texted in and ask if spiritual directors should get paid. Johnnette says giving to their order or parish is a good idea. Jennifer calls and shares a story of being healed while in adoration. Temptation

On Today Women of Grace host Johnnette Benokvic talks about temptation in our lives. Satan is smart and watches us knowing what our weakness is. He wants to pull us away from God. We have to have self-knowledge to keep us away from sin. AnnaMarie from Youtube wrote that to her the biggest temptation is lethargy in the Church. Johnnette agrees and says that lukewarmness needs to be met with revival and renewal. The aspirin for the soul is praising God. Laura calls in telling us that she has had that renewal. Born a cradle Catholic she was not a great Catholic. Then this Lent she found a desire for Christ, the Rosary and Divine Mercy. She now asked God to heal her soul instead of asking for things. Host Johnnette Benkovic shares her sadness on today’s WOMEN OF GRACE on the death of Alfie Evan. This is the child who was denied health treatment in the UK. We are now treating people as less than human. She says every life has meaning. Everyone has a purpose. She compares the deaths of weak, unhealthy and unborn to a modern holocaust . Caller Stephanie has left her home and ask for prayer . She is a victim of domestic violence and scared of her attacker. Johnnette wants her and her children to be in a safe place and seek counseling. Christopher texts in and says he wife wants him to leave the Catholic Church. He wants to know if this is betraying his faith. Johnnette shares that if she wants him to her church then she should go to the Catholic Church. Robin called and is suffering depression. She does not feel God’s presence all the time. How can she change this? Johnnette has some good comments which including just praising God all the time.
