It’s a gift

WOMEN OF GRACE host Johnnette Benkovic Williams shares that one of the gifts of the church is the maternity of Our Lady. She is the mother of us all. Saint Josemaría Escrivá explained that we are all pilgrims and missionaries. We are called to a “Grande Munus” – a Holy Duty. We have the honor to display God’s will. This is a gift to us. Johnnette talks about the book Life of Union with Mary by Fr. Emile Neubert. Debbie called asking for prayer after her sister passed quickly last week. She help with Debbie’s 40 year old autistic daughter. Johnnette explains that suffering is a great prayer in itself which was shred with Jesus on the cross. Caller Marion is raising 4 adopted kids by herself after her husband committed suicide. Johnnette asked her to take some time for herself. Kathleen on Facebook wrote that her sister is using medical means to get pregnant. Does the Church agree with this? Johnnette explains the Church teachings. Johnnette expresses that even when we feel ‘out of season’ we are to preach the Gospel to help change the minds of the world. You and I have to be the body of Christ and encourage those around us. Sarah called asking if she should give up yoga. Jim and Robert called about the practice of ‘fortuna’. Kathy called to share how Johnnette’s word touched her family in praying the Divine Mercy prayer for her dying husband. Host Johnnette Benkovic Williams’s welcome back Marge Fenelon to WOMEN OF GRACE. She speaks about her book Forgiving Mother: A Marian Novena of Healing and Peace. Marge tells us about how she was healed by wounds she had from a mother who was troubled. Marge says “ Our Lord Jesus Christ is the ultimate healer; he will mend your wounds and restore you to health and vibrancy. Mother Mary will nurture and protect you. In her tender, loving way, she will accompany you each step of the way. She is, and wants to be in every way possible, truly your mother. … [Mary] is anxious to fill the void that has been left in you. Fairest Lord Jesus

WOMEN OF GRACE host Johnnette Benkovic Williams’s reflects upon a song that was talked about on a previous show. The caller asked about who Jesus was more fairer than. Steve wrote in and says he thinks the song is from “Fairest Lord Jesus.”

Lyrics are “…Fairest Lord Jesus, ruler of all Fairest Lord Jesus, ruler of all Fair are the meadows, fairer still the woodlands Robed in the blooming garb of spring Jesus is fairer….” On the other hand singer Kitty Cleveland and friend to Johnnette said she thinks it maybe from her song “ Beautiful Savior” This song also explains that Jesus is fairer that ALL WE CAN SEE. Caller Bill wants to know if the Church still see new prophecies. Johnnette says everything is fulfilled as we have not time in Heaven. There is not future or past. God is in the present moment. It is unhealthy to look for signs. Marianne called to let Johnnette know prayer were answered as her daughter is now being married in the Catholic Church but she fills guilty that she did not push harder earlier for this to happen. Johnnette says that adult children have freewill. It is best not to break communication. Continue to be the witness to your grown children. Sharon shared that her husband passed away in April and she is afraid she will never see him again in Heaven. Since Johnnette lost her husband many years ago she has som great words of wisdom on today’s WOMEN OF GRACE.

God works in your life

WOMEN OF GRACE host Johnnette Benkovic Williams’s shares about the upcoming retreat in July. She was touched by a group of sisters who are at EWTN doing a radio show for Spanish radio. Anne calls in and talks about a doctor she is seeing who says she works as in energy psychology. There is always Native American chant in office and she is worried if she should be going there. Johnnette tells her to avoid this place. It is anti-Catholic; as it does not have a healthy Christian view. Karen called in with a tearful request for help. Her adult daughter is abusing her verbally. Johnnette says the daughter is not following the commandment of honoring your parents. Prayer is needed. Katie is just married and her sister has said a few unkind words to hurt both her and her husband. What can they do to repair the damage? Johnnette has so great words of wisdom. Adult Children

WOMEN OF GRACE host Johnnette Benkovic Williams welcomes her husband Jack back to the set. Johnnette tells why she like to wear spiked heels – to become a ‘serpent smiter’ if needed. Caller Jeanntte left a message that her 40 year old daughter is yelling at her. Johnnette explains that at that age they are adult children and are individuals. They still maybe your children but they have gone to the sacraments and have been in their own life now. They still need to honor the 4th commandment. Maria also called with daughter issues. She has been married 67 years and her daughter was married, divorce and got an annulment. She married in a protestant church and is attending there. Johnnette says to not break the bridge. She has freewill and the best you can do it be an example. Do not nag at them. Oscar called and is waiting on an annulment before he gets married. Jack tipped his “Catholic hat” to Oscar for waiting. Stay in Faith

WOMEN OF GRACE host Johnnette Benkovic Williams talks about a reason book she is reading called The Seat of Wisdom by Louis Bouyer. It is an essay on the place of the Virgin Mary in Christian theology. Johnnette shares what wisdom is and how kings use it to rule. A good king is ruled by the heart and mind of God. We must be good kings and have faith in God. Caller Stella wishes Johnnette much happiness in her new marriage and to stay in faith. Be open to happiness. Caller Susan share the sentiment of being open to new things as she found her new husband after 20 years being alone. Diane called to share how at 70 her husband got an annulment and she is able to receive communion with him every Sunday. It is a great joy. All this and more on WOMEN OF GRACE.

The newlyweds are in the house. WOMEN OF GRACE host Johnnette Benkovic Williams is joined on set with her husband Jack. Together they go over their wedding and the blessings that lead up to that day. Jack explains what it was like to court Johnnette before they named the date. Caller Jerry was shocked about hearing Johnnette’s new name but happy for them. He is celebrating 47 years with his wife. Rita has a 21 year old that wants to do what the Williams did in courting a girl and not dating. Caller Jodi called in with a troubled marriage. Her husband left her for someone else after 30 years. Just getting back from a trip to Hanceville Alabama after having Mass at the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament., WOMEN OF GRACE host Johnnette Benkovic talks about a woman she and her husband Jack met. Her name is Lori and she is dying of an incurable cancer. Johnnette said Lori’s biggest worry was for her 4 children. Johnnette shared that she would never really be separated from them because the love will still be there. On Facebook Genève says she will pray fir Lori and that nothing can replace a Mother’s love. Johnnette echoes that LOVE NEVER DIES since God is love. Caller Joseph wants to exchange the words on the Hail Mary to be ‘Hail Mother” since he never called his mother by her first name. Johnnette says that it is ok in private but shouldn’t be done in a public setting to eliminate confusion. Tearfully Dee called in asking if God hears her prayer even if she has committed a grave sin. Johnnette shares that God hears your prayers but you have a hard time receiving God’s graces when it is blocked by the sin. She suggest going to confession. All this and more on WOMEN OF GRACE.

Depend on Mary

WOMEN OF GRACE host Johnnette Benkovic Williams is back from her wedding and honeymoon. She gives a little insight into the celebration plus the reality of her father’s health. In it all she has gave it to Mary. She shares about the large statue that she and Jack had at their wedding. She explains how Mary confirms the word of God and the Holy Spirit. Caller Jill is having questions on if she is doing God’s will or her own. She feels betrayed as her world is in turmoil. Johnnette shares how this is something she has had to deal with before and how prayer helped. Peg wrote on Facebook about how her adult daughter is in a nursing home and has special needs.
