You know those days when it feels like anything that could go wrong does go wrong? When you wake up and immediately stub your toe or spill coffee on your shirt right before you’re ready to walk out the door? We've all been there. When you have “those” days, it’s easy to chalk it up to...oh, it’s just a bad day; there’s nothing to learn here. I’m asking you to reconsider. In this episode, we talk about using the way things happen in your life as an opportunity to notice, learn, and grow. The magic is in taking the time to stop, breathe, and surrender, if only for a moment.

I was recently talking with a friend about projects we’re each working on, mostly around writing weekly content or updating content we wrote years ago.

There's something very cool that we both realized in updating old content. It's a similar kind of realization as when you look at old photos of yourself.

In this episode, we talk about how the past offers a perspective you might not expect. Sometimes, it shows up without necessarily being invited and opens your eyes. You get a glimpse of wisdom that can change how you see yourself and help you focus on what's really important.

When you’re feeling stuck, how do you get yourself unstuck? For me, it’s about taking some kind of action. That may seem obvious, but it isn’t always easy to do.

Consider setting aside 5 or 10 minutes today or tomorrow to zero in on an area where you’re stuck and ponder the questions I suggest in this episode.

When you do take action, even if it’s a baby step, you’re creating momentum.

What step will you take today to shake off that stuck feeling and move toward what you want to accomplish?

There’s a feeling of change in the air; we’re starting a new month, kids are going to school and we’re just a few weeks away from the official end of summer and the beginning of fall.

Another significant change that’s become evident in my coaching with women, especially during the past six months, is a shifting of priorities and how women want to approach their work.

In this episode, we talk about getting clear with yourself about what you need so you can be your own best advocate. How do you want to better align with your values in a way that serves you, that serves the business, and that helps you to feel fulfilled in your life and in your work?

What feelings come up when you think about being silent with yourself and creating space for silence in conversation?

We have a tendency to fill our days with activities and to multi-task because ...there just aren’t enough hours to get everything done... leaving little to no time to be still, to be with ourselves, with our thoughts and with our emotions. We also have a tendency to fill the silence in conversation with others.

In this episode, we explore a different approach as well as what happens when you give yourself the opportunity to get comfortable with silence and with not having the answers. There is a wonderful sense of freedom and insight within that stillness.
