December 17, 2019The Horse Show: S4E23 - Adrienne Sternlicht's Hat TrickU.S. show jumper Adrienne Sternlicht has been on fire in recent weeks winning back to back World Cup qualifiers with a new ride; the 11 year old Oldenburg gelding Benny’s Legacy that she bought from Ireland’s Jenny Rankin this summer. The Thermal World Cup qualifier was only the third show for the pair but they clearly were in sync and proved they could repeat that performance a week later when they went indoors for the first time in Las Vegas where they were only one of two clear rounds going into the jump off. And then a few days later Adrienne switched to the 11 year old Belgian mare Just A Gamble to clinch the $209,000 Grand Prix in Palm Beach when she got the best of a 12-horse jump-off. Chris Stafford spoke to Adrienne in Wellington to get her reaction to her current form as she closes out the season and takes a break from the show ring. For show notes and related links for this episode click HERE.For more conversations from the world of women’s sport including articles, blogs, videos and podcasts visit wispsports.com.
