Hey y'all! Welcome to Words of Love Podcast. My name is Luvlan Lee and I am a sleep-deprived freshman at the University of Georgia. In this episode I share my depression and suicidal intention story. Covid-19 has been hard on everyone, I won’t discredit that, but for me it was a nightmare. On top of lockdown, senior year (no prom, graduation, last summer, etc.), Kenneth and I were broken up (over email!), I had no idea where I was attending college, kicked out of the house, threatened to hurt my sister, and almost took my own life... but GOD. Lemme tell y'all right quick that JESUS SAVES. I hope you all enjoy this episode and that the Lord speaks to you through my testimony. For those struggling with depression and anxiety, know that you are not alone. Things will get better! I promise Jesus loves you and this life is SO worth living. I love you. I see you. We still experience hard things. We still have doubts and worries. We are human and sometimes we choose not to trust/listen to God. I discuss the reality of these hills and valleys in my personal life over these past few months, and encourage us to acknowledge the times we fall short and push forward for the race set before us. In this episode, I am joined by the insightful and bubbly Amelia Baumann, whom I met this past Thursday at Phoenix Community of Athens. Amelia is sophomore at University of Georgia studying Advertising, and her heart for the Lord and His people is unlike anyone I've met. I believe God truly orchestrated this night - meeting for the first time, sharing our deepest worries and brokenness, and allowing us to speak Truth and Life into one another. He guided the words of this conversation, and I just praise Him for His faithfulness. The episode is kind of all over the place, but here are some highlighted topics! Forgiveness vs. Reconciliation  COMPARISON - singleness, insecurities, our gaps - HOW GOD FILLS THEM Are we relying on Christ to infiltrate those those gaps?

This is a reality check: I’m not perfect and I experience temptation just as much as you all do. I talk about my personal experiences, the feeling of guilt and its purpose (guilt has a purpose!), how to keep yourself from being tempted, and what to do if you’ve already fallen into it. I promise no one is too far gone and Jesus desires to heal each of our backslidings. Rely on Him, for His strength is made perfect in your weakness.
