Some of the world’s greatest innovations were born from unexpected conversations rather than scheduled meetings. Ideas often emerge not during presentations but in hallways, kitchens, cafés, and shared lunch tables.

In Thor Sigfusson's new book "The Incredible Coffee Machine" he shares how informal encounters can reshape entire industries. A discussion over coffee led to new products made from fish skin. Another conversation helped create businesses producing collagen, medical products, cosmetics, nutritional supplements, and materials that previously would have been discarded.

These innovations were not simply technological breakthroughs, they were relationship breakthroughs, and the lessons extend far beyond the seafood industry.
