For us “worriers”, a lot of energy can be directed toward navigating our anxious inner dialogues and attempting to protect ourselves from the uncomfortable symptoms of anxiety. Cultivating a more peaceful inner landscape is not a luxury, it’s essential so that life can expand beyond worry.
This week, Lisa shares that constructive rest, self-compassion and purpose can amplify our energy while making ourselves wrong for our feelings can further deplete it.

Lisa has been treating herself as she would a yoga therapy client by prescribing herself some tools to support bouts of lower mood and exhaustion related to big life transitions. Time in nature is a simple, but meaningful way to support the body’s need for movement which in turn uplifts the mind and inspires us to remember to honour the cycles of life. This episode offers some easy ways to relate with nature therapeutically without needing hiking boots.

This week Lisa shares about the reality of saying goodbye to her daughter as she launches to college in Scotland and how to relate with more than one emotion at a time. She offers some inspiration and concepts to flow through emotions rather than becoming stuck in them and challenges herself (and you) to choose a consistent rejuvenation practice after a depleting summer of stressful world and personal events.
The podcast is back, with a new look and a new name. As a health care worker and yoga studio owner, Aimee isn’t able to continue to co-host the show on a regular basis, but she’ll be back as a frequent guest! With her blessings, Lisa takes over the podcast and as Worrier to Warrior to reflect the work she does with those struggling with anxiety and mental health challenges.
