Vintage baseball game. A will be player Saturday June 30th at the Nathan Hale Homestead, featuring the Connecticut Picked 9 and the providence Grays, it will be the first time in over 100 years’ baseball has been played at the homestead, the games will use authentic rules from 1864, will use hand-stitched baseballs, pitchers are called hurlers and batters called strikers. Longer and heavier bats will be used, cursing will result in a 25 cent fine and an apology to spectators.
