Mary Alice says as someone begins to work on an art project she says they become more relaxed and their stress level decreases. She says especially with people with dementia or Alzheimer's she makes projects multi-dimensional to help keep them engaged despite their memory loss. Mary Alice says as a person ages and chronic health problems increase, art becomes more important. She says people need to move, because it can help conditions such as chronic arthritis.
