S5 AL6 Left Uniqueness Chakra

The Himalayan Musk Deer is also known as the Kasturi Mrig. An endangered species,

it is said to have a pouch near it's navel which emits the fragrance of musk, so heavenly that they are poached for these musk glands. There is a parable related to them in the ancient scriptures.... and also in folk songs.

It is said that they are so fascinated by the fragrance, that they roam everywhere trying to find it... not knowing that it itself is the source of it. Infact they gets rid of these glands, by rubbing it against the mountainous rocks in the region. The glands grow back in some time but they get rid of it everytime... not realising that what they are looking for is overlooked, unappreciated, unrecognised and a rejected part of there very being.

Similarly we are always focused on the outside trying to find ways and means of finding happiness. Whenever we see ...

somethings that others have, somethings that makes others happy,

somethings that others are doing, we feel ....that if we have it too... we will be happy, but it is not so.

We only get tired, exhausted and unhappy trying to be something or someone we are not. Is it wise to be a second hand someone ? Shouldn't we be unique...original... one of a kind .... Our own self !

FLR13 Humble Opening Up Chakra

Most of us must have seen the movie, Kung Fu Panda.

In this movie we can relate to Po, as he is so much like us... a combination of strengths, weaknesses, desires, dreams, fears etc.

He wants to be a Kung Fu warrior, but he does not trust himself nor thinks he is worthy enough to become one.

He feels completely embarrassed and guilty when he starts his training with the other students, who already are masters in their own way.

He works hard with Master Shifu, who uses his love for food to transform him. He himself starts changing his weakness to his strengths by accepting them and relying on them.

In the meantime, the villian the mean and powerful Tai Lung escapes and kills the master for the dragon scroll.

This dragon scroll had the secret, that could make anyone the greatest warrior.

In the ensuing fight, Po sees what is inside.

There was nothing written on it, but he could see his own reflection in the golden mirror.

Then he realises that...

anyone who can accept themselves,

anyone who can use their flaws to be their biggest asset,

anyone who can rise above themselves,

anyone who can overcome their fears.... is a real warrior.

As only when we accept ourselves will everyone accept us.

What is independence... is it to be free... free of what?

Is it our thought process, our weaknesses, our blocks, our beliefs that are redundant, our fears, our guilts, our regrets, our judgements, our unforgiving behaviour?

Is it our addictions to alcohol, cigarettes, pan masala, drugs, of mobiles or any other gadgets for that matter.

Is it our comfort zone in the form of people, places, things.. in short a routine life?

Is it because dependence on anything, somewhere halts your progress and growth? As it does not allow us to use our full potential. We become so complacent, that we display signs of complete stress at the mere thought of a small variation in our routine.

Research has shown that, learning new things is a powerful and fun way to keep Dementia, Alzheimer's etc. away. Cognitive stimulating activites helps avoid cognitive decline.... So...

Why not be ok.. with a little discomfort, a little dissatisfaction, a little uneasiness? Somewhere, someone must be dissatisfied with the thought of us washing clothes with hand, which gave birth to a washing machine.

Walking for miles under the open sky must have sown the seed, for a wheel, to some sort to a chariot, a buggy, a car, a tram, a train, an aeroplane, a jet and space travel???

How many time have we been completely stressed about deadlines?

We have started training our children to become stressed....keeping them continuously busy by making them run around, trying to fit in different classes in a day...karate / music / singing / dancing / school work etc.

Feeling guilty of not doing enough...ironically even judging other's of doing the same. We have been pre programmed to perceive it, as the best way of growing and attaining success. Growing spiritually, materially by being completely burdened with deadlines and too many things to do, that it starts affecting us physically with various health problems. We know all this, yet are unable to break this vicious circle.

Weren't we admonished for not doing anything and being lazy?????

Aren't we doing the same with our children making them feel guilty of not doing anything or even playing?

Isn't it important, to be ok... with not doing anything or just relaxing?

Of being comfortable with stillness?

Only then will we be able to manifest the bliss of it in our daily lives!

What is intimacy?

Is it only physical...or it has a wider context and includes spiritual, mental, emotional intimacy too?

Is it good to have intimate relationships?.. Doesn't it leave us feeling hurt.... as we are transparent with anyone with whom we share an intimate bond?....but wearing different masks...walling up etc. is not the answer....it is hipocrisy.

If we do that, isn't it living a lie? How can we give our best or do our best, in any situation that life puts us in, if we just stand on the bank, of the river of life?

If we have faith in the Supreme Conciousness, then we can conciously be aware of all this and still have the courage to give our best...irrespective of the result....with the understanding that whatever is happening is for our best, we may like it or we may not like it. The important thing is... Learning the lesson.

What is that lesson...and have we learnt it or not ...is the only important thing.

BL10 Left Motivation to Move Forward Chakra.

The life cycle of a river is generally divided into three parts.

At the beginning the river is thin and narrow and is generally full of force, energy and froth... just like us... full of idealism, righteousness and lots and lots of dreams. Carving a way for itself with the sheer force of its speed.

In the second phase it slows down meandering. Its course sometimes blocked by it's own deposits... taking a new path, changing its course. We too slow down a little, digesting what we have learnt, not wanting to let go of what works for us, we start stagnating which becomes the blocks in the flow of our life, making us change willingly or unwillingly, the course of our life.

The third part is when it reaches the mouth, forming a delta before merging with the vast ocean. We too slow down completely, rich and wise with our experiences, opening ourselves up to everything yet completely ready to merge with the supreme consciousness.

A river is the most inspirational example how to move forward, growing, changing, reinventing every second, moving towards our goal.

What is so special about growing up?

Every individual in life are different. It is said that no two people are the same. If this is the case, then how can we expect everyone to be like us....and if they were, would we like it... wouldn't we be bored or irritated?

Can we ever have any control on others? If not, then why do we feel hurt and insulted? Isn't it smarter to just focus on our behavior, our responses and changing ourselves? Isn't it silly to dedicate so much of our time in trying to change others?

If our life is a mirror and we see our reflection in the world around us... then shouldn't we be examining the reason behind the rude and arrogant behavior of others inside ourselves.

It is not easy to dissect ourselves, but if we try, we will find that we are rude and arrogant in some part of our life, which we need to disassociate, R5 and let go. Once we clean the inside the outer environment will change for sure.

Is it more practical and materialistic like

our financial statement which we create, to have an identity in society?

Is it how much command we have over ourselves or is it our command over others by being the observer and the observed?
