『14:1 イコニオンでも、同じことが起こった。二人がユダヤ人の会堂に入って話をすると、ユダヤ人もギリシア人も大勢の人々が信じた。14:2 ところが、信じようとしないユダヤ人たちは、異邦人たちを扇動して、兄弟たちに対して悪意を抱かせた。14:3 それでも、二人は長く滞在し、主によって大胆に語った。主は彼らの手によってしるしと不思議を行わせ、その恵みのことばを証しされた。

14:4 すると、町の人々は二派に分かれ、一方はユダヤ人の側に、もう一方は使徒たちの側についた。

14:5 異邦人とユダヤ人が彼らの指導者たちと一緒になり、二人を辱めて石打ちにしようと企てたとき、14:6 二人はそれを知って、リカオニアの町であるリステラとデルベ、およびその付近の地方に難を避け、14:7 そこで福音の宣教を続けた。』

 アブラハムにしてもモーセにしてもパウロにしても、望みえない時に望みを抱いて、信じて前へ進んでいきました。その時に思いも寄らない祝福が注がれてきたのです。私たちも先達の信仰者の信仰を見ながら、見倣う者となりたいものです。、

お祈りをいたします。

愛する天のお父様、み名を崇め感謝します。今日の召天者記念礼拝を賛美します。先に天に召された兄弟姉妹方のことを心に覚え記念し祈りを捧げております。神と共にその生涯を歩んだあのアブラハムにあった信仰を、その信仰を歩まれたお1人お1人のことを覚えて主に感謝いたします。どうか、私たちもアブラハムのごとく、主を喜び主に喜ばれる生涯を歩んでいきたいと願っております。そして、 かの日には、また兄弟姉妹方と神の御元で見えることを覚え、救い主イエスキリストにあって赦されていることを信じております。どうかその道を1人1人、あなたが導いてくださいますようにお願いいたします。この祈りを主エス キリストのみ名を通して御前にお捧げ致します。　アーメン。

「Do not speak in the hearing of a fool,

　For he will despise the wisdom of your words.」　Amen.

Jesus said this. (Matthew 7:6) “Do not give what is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you in pieces.” This is where the phrase “pearls to swine” comes from. It seems that even the Word of God cannot bear good fruit unless it is sown on good soil.

『愚かな者に話しかけるな。

　彼はあなたの思慮深いことばを蔑むからだ。』

　イエス様は、このように言われました。(マタイ7:6)「聖なるものを犬に与えてはいけません。また、真珠を豚の前に投げてはいけません。犬や豚はそれらを足で踏みつけ、向き直って、あなたがたをかみ裂くことになります。」「豚に真珠」はここから出た言葉です。み言葉も、良い地に蒔かないと良い実は実らないようです。

　今日も、主にあって心が耕やかされますように・・・。

「Do not overwork to be rich;

　Because of your own understanding, cease!」 Amen.

　Wealth itself is neither good nor bad. It can be good or bad depending on how it is used. A happy family life will require a stable economy. Working hard, spending for the family, preparing for illness, and making provisions for the benefit of others are all admirable things. This is admirable. But to become a money hoarder and spend your entire life on it. It is a vain thing. Jesus became poor to make us rich.

　May we stay close to Jesus today....

『富を得ようと苦労してはならない。

　自分の分別によって、これをやめよ。』

　富そのものは良くも悪くもありません。その使い方によって、良くも悪くもなるのです。幸福な家庭生活を送るためには、安定した経済が必要でしょう。一生懸命に働いて家族の為に使い、病気の時などに備え、誰かの役に立つためにも備えていく。立派な事です。でも、お金の亡者になり、人生のすべてをその事に費やしてしまう。虚しい事です。イエス様は、私たちを富ます為に貧しくなられました。

　今日も、イエス様の側に寄り添うことができますように・・・。　

「Do not desire his delicacies,

　For they are deceptive food.」Amen.

Perhaps it is because I am naturally poor, but I get an upset stomach when I receive occasional treats. I cook most of my own food, make my own sweets, shaved ice, pudding, and tiramisu. But I am sure that many people are enthralled by the feast. And they say that it is false food. The trick is to always keep increasing to the real thing to see if it is real or fake.

『そのごちそうを欲しがってはならない。

　それは偽りの食物である。』

　生来の貧乏生活が身に着いているためか、たまにご馳走をいただくとお腹の調子が悪くなってしまいます。自分の食べるものは、ほとんど自炊、スイーツも手作り、かき氷もプリンもティラミスも自分で作ってしまいます。でも、ご馳走に心を奪われる人は多いことでしょう。そして、それは偽りの食物であるというのです。本物か偽物かはいつも本物に増え続けることが見極めるコツなのです。

今日も、主のみ言葉に触れることができますように・・・。　

『あなたは人と誓約をしてはならない。

　負債の保証人となってはならない。』

　負債の保証人となってはならない、肝に銘じたいものです。私も保証人になった結果、未だに返済しています。考えなければならないことは、最悪の場合、自分で払えるのか、相手の為になるのか、自分の生活を犠牲にする覚悟があるのか。でも、その時は感情に流されやすいものです。だから、鼻から意識していたいものです。聖書に書かれてあるから、保証人にはならないと。

　今日も、聖書の言葉に耳を傾けることができますように・・・。　

「Do not be one of those who shakes hands in a pledge,

　One of those who is surety for debts;」　Amen.

　Do not become a guarantor of debt, it is important to keep in mind. I am still paying back the debt as a result of being a guarantor. The thing that must be thought is, in the worst case, whether it is possible to pay by oneself, whether it is for the other party, and whether it is ready to sacrifice one's own life. But then, it is easy to get carried away by emotions. So you want to be nose to nose aware. The Bible says that you are not a guarantor.

　May we listen to the words of the Bible today...

「That I may make you know the certainty of the words of truth,

　That you may answer words of truth

　To those who send to you?」 Amen.

　Jesus said this. (John 8:32) “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” Fish are free to swim around in water. But it is not that fish are free; they are free because they are in the water. We have a God who created us, controls us, and continues to love us. We can only be free when we are in the truth that is God.
