『しかし　確かに神は聞き入れ

　私の祈りの声に耳を傾けてくださった。』

　神様は、私の過去から現在、そして、未来さえもご存じなのです。犯し続けている罪、忘れてしまった罪、その一つ一つを赦し、その罪を思い出さない神様なのですが、神様が私を受け入れ、祈りの声を聴くには、私自身の心の状態が大事なのです。悔い改めを拒んだり、罪を隠し続けているならば、神様と自分との間に壁が出来てしまいます。それが不信仰の壁となって、神様との間が不通となってしまうのです。いつも通り良き管となりたいものです。

　今日も、神様との通信が良好でありますように・・・。　

「Iniquities prevail against me;

　As for our transgressions,

　You will provide atonement for them.」　Amen.

  From the time I was born until I met Jesus, I have accumulated many sins. It is an overwhelming weight of sin. But the cross of Jesus forgives past, present and even future sins. He no longer even remembers them. We can only thank God for the overwhelming forgiveness of sins, the overwhelming grace of God, and His choice to let us enter into it.　

May we count God's blessings one by one today.

『数々の咎が私を圧倒しています。

　しかし　私たちの背きを

　あなたは赦してくださいます。』

　生まれてからイエス様に出会うまでの間、イエス様に出会い現在まで、多くの罪を積み重ねてきました。それは、圧倒的な罪の重みです。しかし、イエス様の十字架は、過去の罪、現在の罪、未来の罪さえも赦してくださるのです。そして、もはや思い出すことさえしないのです。圧倒的な罪の赦し、圧倒的な神の恵み、そこに入らせて下さった神の選びにただ感謝あるのみです。　

　今日も、神様の恵みをひとつひとつ数えることができますように・・・。

「Hide me from the secret plots of the wicked,

　From the rebellion of the workers of iniquity,」　Amen.

 It is not easy to shelter someone unless there is a strong relationship of trust between the one making the request and the one being asked to do so. While it is a great relief to hide behind God's wings, we can only be thankful when we remember that we have nothing to contribute, nothing to merit, nothing to be trusted by God. Jesus solemnly took our place and went to the cross without any excuse, without any resentment. We can only be thankful.

May we ponder the cross of Jesus today as well.

『どうか私をかくまってください。

　悪を行う者どものはかりごとから

　不法を行う者どもの騒ぎから。』

　かくまってもらう場合には、依頼する者と依頼される者との間に強い信頼関係がなければ容易にはかくまってもらえません。神様の御翼の陰にかくまっていただくと大安心なのですが、私たちが神様に対して、何の貢献もなく、何の功績もなく、何ら信頼に足る者ではないことを覚えると、ただただ感謝しかないのです。イエス様は、何の弁明もなく、恨みも言わずに、粛々と私たちの身代わりとなって、十字架に架かってくださいました。ただただ感謝あるのみです。

　今日も、イエス様の十字架に思いを巡らせることができますように・・・。　

「Thus I will bless You while I live;

　I will lift up my hands in Your name.」　Amen.

Paul recommends in I Tim 2:8; the men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting. . When we lift up our hands, our face naturally looks up to heaven and we feel Jesus standing at the right hand of God. That is just as Stephen prayed before his death. When we lift up our hands in prayer, anger, strife and envy are appeased.

May we pray to the Lord today, lifting up our holy hands to Him.

『それゆえ私は　生きるかぎりあなたをほめたたえ

　あなたの御名により　両手を上げて祈ります。』

　「Ⅰテモ2:8 男たちは怒ったり言い争ったりせずに、どこででも、きよい手を上げて祈りなさい。」と、パウロは勧めています。手を上げると、自然と顔も天を仰ぎ、神の右に立っておられるイエス様を感じることができます。ステパノが死を前にして祈ったように。怒りも争いも妬みも、手を上げて祈る時に鎮まるのです。

　今日も、主にきよい手を上げて祈ることができますように・・・。　

「Truly my soul silently waits for God;

From Him comes my salvation.」　Amen.

[Colloquial Japanese] Psalms 62:1 ;Truly my soul silently waits for God. That means to obey God's word, rather than to do nothing and remain silent. Therefore, no matter what problems arise, we must pour out our hearts and pray. There is the faith that man cannot do it, but God can, and the conviction to live by that faith.

May we pour out our hearts to the Lord in prayer today as well.

『私のたましいは黙って ただ神を待ち望む。

私の救いは神から来る。』

「【口語訳】詩62:1 わが魂はもだしてただ神をまつ。」、「もだして神を待つ」というのは、何にもしないで、黙っているのではなく、神の言葉に從うという意味合いなのです。だから、どんな問題が起ころうと、心を注ぎだして祈ることなのです。そこには、人にはできないが神にはできるという信仰があり、その信仰に立って生きるという信念があるのです。

今日も、主に心を注ぎだして祈ることができますように・・・。　

「From the end of the earth I will cry to You,

　When my heart is overwhelmed;

　Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.」　Amen.

　'The ends of the earth' refers to a place far from Jerusalem. Jerusalem (El Shalom) means 'the city of God' or 'the peace of God'. We can feel his strong will to call to God even when he was far away from Jerusalem. He had a trust in God that never wavered.

　May we also cry to Him today.
