「Do not envy the oppressor,

　And choose none of his ways;」  Amen.

At times, we envy others, saying, "I want to be a person of love like that person" This is out of a desire to improve ourselves. But here it says, "Do not envy the oppressor" What is it like to envy evil? Is it not the feeling of desperation that one is willing to be tainted with evil oneself? The blessed path is the path of looking up to God, believing, and obeying. (Psalm 1:3)"He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water,That brings forth its fruit in its season,Whose leaf also shall not wither;And whatever he does shall prosper"

　May we spend today looking up to the Lord....

『暴虐を行う者を羨むな。

　彼の道をどれ一つ選ぶな。』

　時として、「あの人のように愛の人になりたい」と他人を羨むことがあります。それは、自分を高めようとする思いからです。でも、ここでは、「暴虐を行う者を羨むな」とあります。悪を羨む気持ちとは、どんなものでしょう。それは、自分自身が悪に染まっても構わないという自暴自棄の気持ちではないでしょうか。神を見上げ、信じ、従う道が祝福された道なのです。「詩1:3 その人は流れのほとりに植えられた木。時が来ると実を結びその葉は枯れずそのなすことはすべて栄える。」

　今日も、主を見上げて過ごすことができますように・・・。　

『さて、群衆が神のことばを聞こうとしてイエスに押し迫って来たとき、イエスはゲネサレ湖の岸辺に立って、5:2 岸辺に小舟が二艘あるのをご覧になった。漁師たちは舟から降りて網を洗っていた。

5:3 イエスはそのうちの一つ、シモンの舟に乗り、陸から少し漕ぎ出すようにお頼みになった。そして腰を下ろし、舟から群衆を教え始められた。5:4 話が終わるとシモンに言われた。「深みに漕ぎ出し、網を下ろして魚を捕りなさい。」5:5 すると、シモンが答えた。「先生。私たちは夜通し働きましたが、何一つ捕れませんでした。でも、おことばですので、網を下ろしてみましょう。」5:6 そして、そのとおりにすると、おびただしい数の魚が入り、網が破れそうになった。5:7 そこで別の舟にいた仲間の者たちに、助けに来てくれるよう合図した。彼らがやって来て、魚を二艘の舟いっぱいに引き上げたところ、両方とも沈みそうになった。5:8 これを見たシモン・ペテロは、イエスの足もとにひれ伏して言った。「主よ、私から離れてください。私は罪深い人間ですから。」5:9 彼も、一緒にいた者たちもみな、自分たちが捕った魚のことで驚いたのであった。5:10 シモンの仲間の、ゼベダイの子ヤコブやヨハネも同じであった。イエスはシモンに言われた。「恐れることはない。今から後、あなたは人間を捕るようになるのです。」5:11 彼らは舟を陸に着けると、すべてを捨ててイエスに従った。』

ペテロの仕事は漁師でした。魚を捕ることにおいてはプロです。イエス様は、素人でした。でも、イエス様の言葉に権威があったのでしょうか。ペテロは、お言葉ならと從うのです。その結果、大漁の魚が獲れました。イエス様はペテロの招待を受けて来られたのではなく、主権者として一方的にペテロの舟を選び舟に乗ってくださいました。それにペテロが応答し、祝福を得たのです。それは、もっと深い信仰の世界に漕ぎ出しなさいということでもあったのです。そして、ペテロは、イエス様から使命を与えられました。「魚ではなく、人間を漁る者となる」と、ぺテロは、人間を漁る者として成長していくのです。

お祈りします。

愛する天のお父様、み名を崇め感謝します。あなたは、私たちを選び、救い、永遠の命を与えて下さって感謝します。そして、それぞれに賜物を備えて下さり、それぞれに使命を与えて下さっていますから感謝します。私たちがひとりひとりが与えられた使命を全うすることができますように、お導き願います。今日の礼拝を感謝し、すべてを感謝し、主イエス・キリストのお名前によってお祈り致します。アーメン。

「Do not strive with a man without cause,

　If he has done you no harm.」 　Amen.

When our hearts are filled with peace, there is no need to fight with others. Nowadays, the arena for conflict has expanded to the world of the Internet. If you are in the middle of a conflict, your state of mind will be bound by tension, atrophy, and hostility. Conflicts between people, between countries, and between peoples are endless.(Isa. 2:4) "They shall beat their swords into plowshares,And their spears into pruning hooks;Nation shall not lift up sword against nation,Neither shall they learn war anymore." We want to speak words that make the most of people.

　May we speak salty words today....

『あなたに悪い仕打ちをしていないのなら、

　理由もなく人と争うな。』

　心の中が平安で満たされていたら、人と争う必要はないのです。いまや、争う場はネットの世界まで拡がっています。争う渦中にいたら、その時の心の状態は、緊張・萎縮・敵意で縛られてしまいます。人と人、国と国、民族と民族の争いは絶えません。「イザ2:4　彼らはその剣を鋤に、その槍を鎌に打ち直す。国は国に向かって剣を上げず、もう戦うことを学ばない。」人を活かす言葉を語りたいものです。

　今日も、塩味のきいた言葉を語ることができますように・・・。

「Do not devise evil against your neighbor,

　For he dwells by you for safety's sake.」　　　Amen.

The person who lives safely by my side is also the person who trusts me, knows me well, and understand me well. Even in such a relationship, they may sometimes behave unreasonably or criticize me. No, it is precisely because we are in such a relationship that this may happen. We want to be aware of our neighbor's suffering and pour out love and comfort. Just as Jesus comforted Sychar's woman.

　May the Lord give us His love and comfort today....

『隣人が、あなたのそばで安心して住んでいるとき、

　その人に悪を企むな。』

私のそばで安心して住んでいる人は、私を信頼し、良く知り、良く分かっている人でもあるのです。そんな関係の中にあっても時として理不尽な振る舞いをしたり、批判したりすることがあります。いや、そんな関係だからこそ、起こりうることかも知れません。私たちは、隣人の苦しみに気付き、愛と慰めを注ぎたいものです。イエス様がスカルの女を慰めたように。

　今日も、主の愛と慰めが与えられますように・・・。

「Do not say to your neighbor,

　"Go, and come back,And tomorrow I will give it,"

　When you have it with you.」　　Amen.

Who are your neighbors? It may not be the person who lives next door, but a spouse, children, parents, siblings, co-workers, hobbyists, etc. Depending on the relationship, it could even be the person who lives next door. They are the ones closest to you, the ones who know you well, the ones who know you. Bible is told to spare no effort to help such neighbors.

　May we love our neighbors today....

『あなたに物があるとき、隣人に向かって、

　「帰って、また来なさい。明日あげよう」と言うな。』

　あなたの隣人は誰でしょうか。隣に住んでいる人ではなく、配偶者であったり、子どもたちであったり、両親であったり、兄弟、職場の同僚、趣味の仲間たち等々ではないでしょうか。関係性によっては隣に住んでいる人も考えられるでしょう。あなたの一番近くにいて、良く分かっている人、知っている人だと思います。そんな隣人に助けを惜しまずにしなさいと言われるのです。

　今日も、隣人を愛することができますように・・・。　　

「Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due,

　When it is in the power of your hand to do so.」　Amen.

 The motto "do good a day at a time" used to be popular, but now it seems that many people are hesitant to do good. There are many possible reasons, such as lack of time, indifference, doubt, concern about social networking sites, etc. However, the Bible says, "Galatians. 6:9  And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart." Do what you can when you can and leave all the results to God.
