Imagine you're in a grocery store and as you're walking down an aisle you see an item and you think oh I need to buy that and you get it and put it in the cart and pay for it. Then you go home and you go to put it in your cupboard only to find that you already had it. There are times in our lives when in a moment of despair we pray for some thing pleading to God and in the moment he tells us I've already given you that in Christ. All too often we forget all the blessings that have been bestowed upon us through the finished work of Jesus. The reason for big numbers is for us to be able to count all of these blessings. We need to recognize that we already have the victory in Jesus. Give a listen.

The title of my podcast today is a very old cliché. These questions arise when we are trying to figure out a bunch of different things. So we ask a bunch of questions. We are a curious folk and at times let me put this politely ignorant of what's going on. So we ask questions. That's a good thing. But what is it like when God or other people ask us a lot of questions? In a conversation with your heavenly father what type of questions is he asking you and what are your responses to him? You are to have an intimate relationship with him that should include a conversation, a dialogue with him. Your father at times will question you to cause you to think about what's going on in your life. How do you we react to the question of others towards us. Let's take some time today to figure out the who what where when and why of our lives. Give a listen

There's an old saying that is very wise, be where you are when you're there. Too often we can physically be somewhere but mentally be somewhere else. Today I want to twist that a bit. Where I am mentally may not be where I am spiritually. Seriously I'm seated in Christ beside God the Father. Mentally I may be in a fog. Mentally I might be a space cadet. Mentally I may have no clue of what's going on. I'm sure none of you have ever been in that kind of a mental space.

But where are we spiritually? What is our spiritual reality? Though my physical and mental space may seem real, the truth is God has made me a new creation in Christ. The world is after us to confuse and distress us. Well we let sin depress us? When we learn to connect and live in the right mental and spiritual state we will have a victory. In today's episode we will explore the truth of where we are. Give a listen.

In a world where image is so very important what we look like has many people very concerned.
In 2020 alone American spent about $93 billion on cosmetics and skin care. In the same year they spent 16.5 billion on cosmetic plastic surgery. And unfortunately there are those people who are getting nips and tux to try and look like other people celebrities and the like. What is our true identity based on?

So what or who do you look like? Can our faces or bodies make the cover of the famous magazine? I'm sure I could make the cover of Mad magazine. But seriously what about our appearance, how important is it? And is it looks alone that make us who we are? I consider these elements in today's episode. Give a listen

A couple of weeks ago I did an episode entitled “it is his love.” What an awesome realization that Jesus loved us enough to die for us, to give his life for us. Not only did he give us life but he gave us freedom from fear and every trauma we have ever faced. We have a wonderful relationship with the greatest lover of all times. We are the disciples that Jesus loves. But a relationship should not be one-sided. Today I want to consider what it takes to love him back. To be in a deep relationship with him and reciprocate the love he has for us. Our greatest deliverance comes from an intimate relationship with Jesus. What does it take to be a faithful disciple and friend of Jesus? Give a listen.

Monday, September 6 is the American observation of Labor Day. According to the US Department of labor, Labor Day honors and recognizes the American labor movement and the works and contributions of laborers to the development and achievements of the United States. So my question for this episode is what are you laboring for? What will be the development and achievement of your labor? There are many different aspects of labor discussed in Scripture. To recognize the purpose and benefits for our efforts gives us hope that our labor and our life will not be in vain. And oddly labor and rest are closely tied together. So There's much to discuss give a listen.

In my opinion There is nothing more euphoric in life than knowing that you are loved. That moment when on your Facebook page you click in a relationship brings a rush of joy into your heart. In studies concerning infants and young children in orphanages those who are regularly held turn out to be mentally healthier than those that don't. Being held is expression of being loved. There’s a lot of healing in a loving hug. There is one relationship that will be the most healing of all. Our relationship with Jesus. We must never forget that we are loved by him. Let's take some time today and look at his great love for us. Give a listen.

Which way did he go George? Which way did he go? This quote appears over a billion times in a Google search. Yeah that's 1 billion with a B. The quote comes from a cartoon from December 1940 entitled of “fox and hounds.” It is spoken by a dog named Willoughby asking his supposed friend George who is a fox in dogs clothing which way the fox went. Someone was being fooled. So my question to you today is which way did you go? And even closer to home you might want to ask yourself from time to time which way am I going? In today's episode we will explore the direction in which we have gone and perhaps may have been fooled. Give a listen.
