There is a terrible mindset that affects way too many of us. This subtle mindset paralyzes us and terrifies us. It is a sneaky mindset that minimizes God. It is a subliminal mindset that denies the work of Jesus. It is called a poverty mindset. And even that name hides the true depths of its reality. Unfortunately when we think of poverty many times we think of finances or money. But poverty mindset goes beyond nickels and dimes and dollar bills, it goes to the lack of possibilities, the lack of options, the lack of the promises from God. That is not what Jesus came to declare. Jesus said that he had come that we might have life and have it more abundantly. if that sounds too good to be true why don't you Give a listen

July is my birthday month. And I have been blessed by the remembrance by many for that blessed day. But for other reasons some of my friends have also remembered and acknowledged the blessing of my life in theirs. It is wonderful to be remembered. It is a joy to know that others are thinking kindly of us. When people remember the things that you have done for them it makes you want to continue to help others.

So what about Jesus in your life? Do you take time to remember what he has done. Do you acknowledge what he accomplished for you? Each time we partake in holy communion we remember his sacrifice but also we share in the accomplishment of that sacrifice. In holy communion we wholeness and forgiveness and much more. In today's episode we will consider his work. Give a listen

What kind of renewed mind dance are you doing? Is it the three steps forward two steps back tango? Is it the spinning top hop? Is it the backwards ballroom waltz? The challenge to renew our minds is a constant one. To not be conformed to the schemes of this world one must be constantly conscious of their thought patterns. It is easy to become miss directed by our thoughts and so we must change direction, hence we must repent. Repenting is simply changing one's mind, changing one's direction. So in today's episode we will consider what it takes to walk a straight path. Give a listen

When you're stuck in a rut it's hard to see the way out. You look at a wall on either side and turn around and look at the path and see darkness behind you turn and see darkness before you. All too often we Forget we can I have a different perspective because we are seated in the heavenly's in Christ. We have a right to sit next to The Father on his throne. Only by the blood of Jesus do we have this right. You can look down on your path and see the way to go.

So what is your point of you, your perspective concerning the challenges of your life” The old trick was to not call challenges a problem but an opportunity to grow. Whatever you call them we need to learn to see things differently. Give a listen

So what kind of attitude do you have when you approach your Heavenly Father? I once knew a believer whose prayers never used the word Father let alone the words Abba or Daddy. It was always just God. How’s your relationship with him, with Father or Abba or Daddy or Papa?

There are times for different attitudes, different postures, if you will, but whats on my mind today is how do we draw nearer? What attitudes or postures , standing, sitting, kneeling, bowing low, face planted on the floor, will we assume? There is a time to dance and rejoice and there is a time to be still and listen. So give a listen.

There's an old saying girls love a man in uniform. But what is the uniform? There are so many to choose from. The saying is attached to men in military uniform but then janitors have uniforms also. Uniforms immediately identify a person by what they do generally. But a persons identity goes far deeper than their actions. In Scripture one verse talks about our ethnicity, or social status or our gender. Much of this is in the media today as hot topics. Identity is key to our success in life. What identity we see as the real me Will make you a victim or a Victor. Today we will look at elements of our true identity in Christ. Give a listen

Perhaps the greatest doubt that enters our minds is whether or not God loves us … always. Because we disobey at times we start to think that his love diminishes. And for anyone with a persistent challenge the chance that we feel unloved greatly increases. When our performance is lacking the feeling that God is holding out on us becomes a regular companion in our thoughts. In today's episode we will take a look at the love of God, the love that God has for us. Give a listen.

There are some people who love a good fight. There are others that will run from every fight before them. So how do we react when we are opposed.? How do we respond to intimidation? I mentioned in a previous episode the phrase, "training for reigning”. We are admonished to train our hearts and minds and bodies. We are commanded not to be transformed to the schemes of this world but be transformed by the renewing of our mind. If you haven't noticed that takes some fighting. Again God can deliver you from your enemies not your friends. That which attacks us is clearly not a friend. It is time to take up our sword and shield and prepare for battle. How will you prepare and how are you act on the battlefield of life? Give a listen

I have a friend who spent 21 years in prison. I'm glad to say he now has been out and sober for 20 years. A summation of his life is that he grew up in a 6 foot x 9 foot prison cell. He got an hour in the yard each day. When you have surroundings such as these your options are very few. Most of us don't grow up in a prison cell physically. But our minds can be encased by fear that keeps our options outside the realm of possibility. We cannot envision our lives being free from bondage. It's time to realize that Christ has not only set us free from prison but destroyed it completely. Now it is time for our minds to break out. Give a listen
