A lot has passed since I began this podcast a year ago. Hopefully, we have all grown in our walk with the Lord and in understanding who we are before him. To recognize our core identity as his beloved children in whom he is well pleased is paramount to the victory over our past. We live from his love, not to his love. I have endeavored in this podcast to help us all think about what we're thinking about. Today I want to revisit the foundation of our study, the truth that yesterday has ended and our yesterday ended with it and we can start anew. All our sins have been paid for and wiped away. Would you like to live as a new creation whose old things have passed away and behold all things are become new? then Please join me and give a listen.

In this last short episode of season one I take time to consider what has been accomplished in 2021. For many years I felt the tugging on my heart from the Lord to be more proactive with my poetry. To write and somehow present it to the body of Christ. That process went through many variations until I was shown that a podcast was the simplest form in which to accomplish this. And with a bit of research and the purchase of a very nice microphone here we are today.

I cannot count the times I have been walking through a room staring at some thing in front of me a short distance ahead and bumped into something. I have stubbed my toe, run my shoulder into a bookshelf, encountered numerous door jams and the edges of various tables. to tell you the truth I'm not a clumsy person. But sometimes we get so focused on some thing in front of us we are blinded to the other things that are around us. The challenge of being distracted can be dangerous to our health. There are words within our heads that can also distract us and cause to get sidetracked from our True reality and identity. We can look the wrong direction because of lies in our heads and hearts. We can look within or we can look outside of us. Where do you look for the truth of who you are? In today's episode we will look at what we're looking at, give a listen.

What identity card do you carry in your wallet? Does it tell you that you are righteous? What identity do you live by? Who do you think you are? According to 2 Corinthians 5.17 you are a new creation. Old things are passed away behold all things have become new. Is that the case in your life? Have you been able to relinquish the old and put on the new? Has tragic yesterday really ended for you with its defeats and dramas so that you can live today in peace and freedom. If you're still having a challenge to walk as a new creation perhaps you should give a listen.

Memories can be a blessing or they can be a curse. They can remind us of victories or they can remind us of defeats. Being able to revisit a harsh memory and not be pained is a sign of healing. Many people have scars on their bodies but those scars do not produce pain. They can point to a moment in time but they no longer hold the trauma. We can be free from the defeats, depression, and traumas of our past. The past does not have to be a ball and chain to stop us from moving forward. If you want to be free from the pain and shame of your past give a listen.

Have you ever wanted a second chance at some thing. There are times when our first attempt falls short and we want a do over, we want a backspace button on our mouth or our actions. Sometimes we go through the days of our life in a daze being half asleep. We are so besieged by the things of life that little HOPE remains. Things of our past hang onto us like a ball and chain and moving forward seems impossible. Where can we find the reset button?

There is a reset button in faith in Jesus. He can give us a new life! He can free us from our past, our failures, our doubts worries and fears. He can give us a new life. We must place our faith in him.
If freedom from your past, from depression from despair sounds good to you then give a listen.

What do a wind that can break rocks, an earthquake and a fire have in common? These three noisy elements were presented to the prophet Elijah when he was trying to hide in a cave. Elijah was tired of the unbelief of the children of Israel and their evil intent upon him. He was left alone and they pursued him to take his life. After these three noisy examples there came a still small voice. And the Lord God spoke to Elijah and told him what he must do. There are a lot of things that make noise to distract us and keep us from hearing what our heavenly father has for us. In this example God reached out to Elijah to help him. God is always ready to speak to us and help us through the traumas and challenges of our lives. Elijah was at the end of his rope but God was there to speak to him and give him strength to endure. Will we take the time to listen to what God has to say. What will you do? Perhaps you should Give a listen.

In a battle when things are going very badly there comes a time of decision of whether or not to surrender to the enemy and beg for mercy. The thought of surrendering to our enemy is devastating. To come to the end of our ability to defend our selves and see no way out destroys all hope and paints us as failures. So how do we become victorious in our battles when all seems lost? How do we maintain a sense of hope when surrounded by our failure to stand? The key to victory lies in to whom do we surrender. We must learn not to surrender to our enemy but to surrender to our Lord for it is he that fights are battles. Give a listen

There are days when all I can do is think about yesterday and how I didn't do it right.  I messed things up. There are times when stupid things I did as a child come back and try to haunt me. I was kind of stupid. There are minutes in my life that I would do anything to undo. People got hurt.

What does it take to get passed our past? What is the formula that equals peace in my mind? How do I move away from yesterday and look with hope to my future? It's time to take a look at how our minds work. Actually how they're supposed to work. Give a listen.

How do people think about you? And how do you think about yourself? Knowing that you are loved by others is empowering, emancipating, emboldening, and embracing just to name a few wonderful aspects. But of all those who could love us to know that God loves us already and always gives the greatest impact. So let me ask you do you believe that God loves you already and always? What is the attitude of God towards you? To be set free from our past and it's traumas we must come into that realization of his great love. So is the goal of my podcast today, give a listen.
