Sheâs now 19 years old and is trying to move on but things are not as easy as it is expected from her

Hollow Fissure is book 4 of the Warren-Bennett-Johnson Series. Hollow Fissure is about a girl who got abducted in Somalia for sex trafficking. Sheâs now 19 years old and is trying to move on but things are not as easy as it is expected from her. She has great supporting parents and Melissa, the woman who saved her. However, somehow things are not going the direction she wants and Hannah is struggling. Melissa is having mental stability issues and Hannahâs parents are trying to figure out how to help their girl. They are also a little concerned with her friend, Gabriel.

First and foremost, I absolutely can say that this was an extremely well-written novel. The dynamics of the storyline having two protagonists was very interesting. I thoroughly enjoyed the correct and relevant way the author portrayed Hannah in the plot. She, being a teenager alone should have been a handful for any parent. However, no, she wasnât just a teenager. She has gone through something even an adult would struggle to deal with.

The author easily made sure the reader was well educated and informed on her condition in order to create a strong bond with her. Another point I must add is that, if you really wish to enjoy this book, I would highly recommend you read from the first book.

Having not read any of the previous books, I found it increasingly hard to know who is who and what is going on. I recommend this book for people who enjoy reading romantic fiction thrillers and begin reading from the first book.

A brilliantly written book!

"She is a naive girl. She insists on doing everything herself. Like she has no parents to care for her. If she had just stayed with us, just listened to us, thisâThis man would have never come back to hurt her again."

Hu-what?!ÂAgain?

Hollow Fissure is Book 4 in the Warren/Bennett/Johnson (New England) Series.

No, I have not read the others in the series...who reads books in order these days, anyways?! Like, gag! The truth is I'm a complete space cadet Âand will read anything handed to me even if it's the tenth novel amidst a consecutive list of books.

I must say, my compulsive reading disorder bit me in the butt on this one. While reading the first page I was lost amidst all of the characters introduced.

Titolo: Le confessioni di un italiano

Autore: Ippolito Nievo

Narratore: Silvia Cecchini

Formato: Unabridged

Durata: 35 hrs and 35 mins

Lingua: Italiano

Data di pubblicazione: 10-16-17

Editore: Collina d'oro

Categoria: Fiction, Contemporary

Riepilogo Editore:

Young Italians of the Risorgimento

The copy I have is in Italian so I will continue so.

(full info on internet re the story by search on the author.)

long but rich

This is a very long book tracing a long life of an Italian gentleman against the background of the convulsions and petty rivalries of the 1800's in Italy. Ideas of freedom spurred on by the French revolution combat the age-old conservatism of the ruling elite, and as expected, glorious expectations lose out to social inertia. The narrator seems enterprising but sometimes a bit naive, his childhood and lifetime love is quixotic, and difficult, their relationship an on and off affair. An excellent survey of time and place, but one where a good background knowledge of the insularity and lack of national identity of Italy in those years is a very helpful aid to following all the action.

Author: Stephen Mitchell

Narrator: Stephen Mitchell

Format: Unabridged

Length: 2 hrs and 51 mins

Language: English

Release date: 08-14-17

Publisher: Phoenix Books

Genres: Fiction, Contemporary

Publisher's Summary:

"There are two kinds of women: those who marry princes and those who marry frogs. The frogs never become princes, but it is an acknowledged fact that a prince may very well, in the course of an ordinary marriage, gradually, at first almost imperceptibly, turn into a frog. Happy the woman who after 25 years still wakes up beside the prince she fell in love with...I want to tell you a different kind of love story, about a frog who became a prince."

So begins Stephen Mitchell's adult fairytale...the story of a meditative frog's love for a rebellious princess, how she came to love him in spite of herself, and how her refusal to compromise helped him become what he was truly meant to be. This is a magical tale - poignant and profound, The Frog Prince will both amuse and enlighten.

Publisher's Summary:

What if President Truman had withdrawn American forces from the Korean peninsula in 1950, rather than holding fast in a fight that cost more than 30,000 American lives? How would the United States' position in Asia be affected today?

Push Back Choson, offers one possible answer. In this alternate history, President Truman elects to withdraw American troops from Korea in order to avoid a new world war. The unfolding story is witnessed through the lives of an American Foreign Service officer, Tom Crandall, and a young, South Korean woman, Soon Hi Chung, who finds herself a displaced person in Japan, trying to come to grips with the communist victory that has forced her from her homeland, and torn her family apart.

Stung by the loss of Korea, political pressure builds in America to push back against the communist aggression in Asia, and to retake land that was lost.

Members Reviews:

The Narration killed this book....

Would you listen to Push Back Choson again? Why?

No, the narration was very, very bad.

How could the performance have been better?

I know not everyone's a Scott Brick, but come on...this guy is just bad at narration.

Any additional comments?

Listen to the sample before you buy, I wish I had.

Titolo: Ultima notte a Lisbona

Autore: Giovanni Valentini

Narratore: Oliviero Cappellini

Formato: Unabridged

Durata: 3 hrs and 43 mins

Lingua: Italiano

Data di pubblicazione: 06-22-17

Editore: Audible Studios

Categoria: Fiction, Contemporary

Riepilogo Editore:

Fino a quella tragica "ultima notte a Lisbona".
