  • 9 - DV leave, suing the police department, and getting fired

In this episode I get pretty vulnerable and personal. I tell the story of how I was fired from SPD for using and asserting my domestic violence leave, which is related to the story briefly told in episode one. This is the continuation of how I ended up being harassed, and eventually fired by an over zealous and likely narcissistic bad manager, who took it upon herself to routinely threaten, and eventually fire me for using domestic violence leave. Yes, really.

  • 7- Sex; trauma healing through kink and sexual exploration, a conversation with Laurel

I'm so excited for today's Episode. Laurel and I get into her background, her experience with ENM (ethical non-monogamy), kink, healing pockets of trauma through orgasm, and so much more! Who would have thought you can heal trauma stored in the body through sex and sexual exploration? Apparently plenty of people already know about this largely untapped resource of trauma healing that the rest of us are slowly discovering. Laurel and I get fully into the conversation about how she discovered this was something that worked for her, to help heal trauma pockets stored in her body. Listen for allll the fun details.

    Laurel's bio:

Laurel is an accomplished professional who has spent years doing the work on herself in therapy as well as various other mediums of healing including solo travel time. She went through the process of trying out various therapists until she found one who was a good fit. She has also found success in trauma healing through sex and exploration of kink, specifically by accessing pockets of trauma from sexual expression.

Laurel also builds her shame resilience through travel. She loves to thoroughly prepare for her trips and then decide what specifically to explore when she arrives at her destination. She continues to follow her path of self improvement, growth, self-love, craft creation, healing, and lifelong learning as some of her many passions.
