We are here with actor, author, and activist Dominique Jackson. You Might Know Her From Pose, Strut, Chick Fight, American Horror Stories, Fantasmas, and American Gods. Dominique opened up to us about the writing process for her 2014 memoir The Transsexual From Tobago, how she learned to love Elektra Abundance Evangelista, and documenting her life as a model on the reality series Strut. Plus, we talked about her genre work as Bloody Mary in American Horror Stories, the upcoming documentary I’m Your Venus she executive produced about ballroom icon (and Paris Is Burning star) Venus Xtravaganza, and about the house she was looking at on House Hunters. This one really covered all the territory and we hope you love it as much as we do.

You Might Know Her From Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Lost, Psycho Beach Party, The 5 Mrs Buchanans, Bad Actress, Sharp Objects, Love & Death, Hearts Afire, and The Bonfire of the Vanities. Beth gave us all the goods on playing witch-cum-scientist-cum-CANDLE (!) Zelda Spellman on Sabrina the Teenage Witch and the specialness of reprising that role in The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina 18 years later. We also got to discuss her working relationships with everyone from Marc Cherry to Brad Pitt to her Psycho Beach Party co-star Charles Busch; the wild ride that was the notorious The Bonfire of The Vanities (how tall is Bruce Willis, really?), and how her AIDS activism has connected her to the LGBT community. We had a beautiful conversation with Beth and just in time for Halloweenie! Happy Spooky Season to all you ghouls.

Live long and prosper, Trekkies! We are here with the inimitable Rosalind Chao. You Might Know Her From: The Joy Luck Club, Mulan, 3 Body Problem, Sweet Tooth, M*A*S*H, Star Trek: The Next Generation & Deep Space Nine, I Am Sam, Just Like Heaven, Freaky Friday, and The L Word: Generation Q. Rosalind gave us all the goods on “the summer of Chao” with her one-two fantasy punch on Netflix, the fervent (and divided) base of fans formerly known as “trekkies,” and her history-making turns in The Joy Luck Club and the live-action Mulan (but is the industry making any progress? Sigh.) Plus, Rosalind teases Pei-Pei’s return in Freaky Friday 2, explains why it was important to embrace the trans community with her role on Gen Q, and gets to the bottom of her tucking her hair behind her ear in Just Like Heaven where Reese Witherspoon f*cks a ghost. Rosalind Chao, we love you!

Back for an extra-special, extra pride episode. You can listen to this complete Eva Le Gallienne deep dive with author and actor Barrie Kreinik on the You Might Know Her From Patreon. You’re gonna love this dig into backstage lore and OG celesbian gossip as we explore the oeuvre of American theatre icon Eva Le Gallienne. Here to break it down with us is Barrie Kreinik, whose new audio drama, The Queen of Fourteenth Street, digs into Le G’s robust stage credits, her dedication to creating an artistic institution of and for the people (the Civic Repertory Theatre), and her storied relationships with many an actor and socialite.
We originally discovered Le Gallienne when interviewing Kate Burton, who appeared in Le G’s ‘80s revival of Alice in Wonderland. We are so grateful for connecting with Barrie so we could explore American theatrical history through the lens of this queer trailblazer.
Happy Pride from an OG theatre queer. We love YOU and we love Le G!

I wasn’t in Speed! It’s Pride and we’re proud to be here with Veronica Cartwright. You Might Know Her From Alien, The Witches of Eastwick, The Birds, The Children's Hour, Will & Grace, The Right Stuff, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, Inserts, and The X-Files. Veronica talked to us about her proper role in the queer canon byway of the Scissor Sisters, Jerry Herman, and StraightJacket; the trans retcon via James Cameron of Lambert in Alien; and her performance in the old Hollywood lesbian film The Children’s House opposite Audrey Hepburn and Shirley MacLaine. And that’s just the beginning! We also got to dig into her iconic roles on The X-Files as an abductee in one of the scariest arcs of all time, her rubber-faced scene-stealing scenes in The Witches of Eastwick, working with Alfred Hitchock...multiple times, and her criminally underseen performance in Inserts. What a goddamn treat. And no, she wasn’t in Speed. Happy Pride, queerdos, we love you!

This month we’re just wild about Siobhan Fallon Hogan. You Might Know Her From Men In Black, Forrest Gump, Dancer in the Dark, Dogville, The House That Jack Built, Shelter in Solitude, Rushed, Holes, Seinfeld, and Saturday Night Live.
Siobhan gave us all the goods: from iconic dialect work in your favorite movies to her years-long collaborations with Lars von Trier. Siobhan spilled on doing bits while performing in Shakespeare in the Park, having fart competitions with Ben Gazzara on the set of Dogville, and getting horrifically killed by Matt Dillon in The House That Jack Built. We also got to talk about her turn as a screenwriter of two indie films: Rushed and Shelter in Solitude (both avail to stream now), and how her Catholic values inform all her work. A true delight from start to finish! Just feel better knowing that Lauren Bacall once asked, “Will we ever work again?” and know you are not alone! Love you mean it!
Also, please note we recorded this before we both texted each other “O.J. Simpson is dead!” so yeah, O.J. Simpson is dead and maybe we conjured it by talking about his acting and prison work.

Judy, Judy, Judy! We’re just mad about Judy Reyes. You Might Know Her From Birth/Rebirth, Claws, Scrubs, The Horror of Dolores Roach, Smile, Bringing out the Dead, One Day at a Time, and Devious Maids. We talk to Judy all about her Indie Spirit-nominated turn in the indie horror Birth/Rebirth which is a little Frankenstein, a little Thelma & Louise, a little Whatever Happened to Baby Jane–we highly recommend it! Judy takes us through the psychology of playing a grieving mother, acting opposite a child and a pig, and grounding the horror elements. Then, we dig deep into her oeuvre from playing Carla Espinosa for eight seasons on Scrubs to playing gay as Quiet Ann (no -e) in one of the best female ensembles on television on Claws. All that plus, coming in to elevate a horror flick like Smile, headlining the candy-coated Marc Cherry/Eva Longoria dark comedy Devious Maids, and forming a community with other Latina actors in this horrific (we hate but love it) industry. We love you.
