We’ve reached our 100th episode—can you believe it?! To celebrate, I’ve invited my husband Michael back on the show to demonstrate how using “I” statements can transform your conversations with your spouse.
We’ll share personal stories from our own marriage, highlighting effective and not-so-effective communication strategies. Plus, we’ll provide step-by-step tips to make your conversations more meaningful. From finding the perfect time to talk and using 'I' statements to express your feelings on big issues, to solving everyday challenges together, this model can help you tackle it all.

Understanding Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) is like diving into a new world—think of it as the quantum physics of emotions. To truly understand a person with BPD, you have to leave your sense of reality and journey into borderline territory. While navigating relationships can be challenging, there's plenty of hope. This week, we’ll explore the emotional and behavioral patterns of BPD and how they often appear in relationships. I have some experience to share on identifying emotional triggers, using effective communication, and taking care of yourself.

It may not seem like it right now, but it’s possible to maintain these connections even when your loved ones choose to stay in the faith. In this episode, I'll guide you through how to respect differing beliefs, what setting healthy boundaries looks like, and how to lead with love and open communication in these relationships.

Recognizing, feeling, and sharing our emotions are often the missing pieces in our relationships. This week on the pod, I’m joined by Isla Fica, therapist, clinical director at St. George’s Dove Center, and former school counselor. Known as Mrs. Feelings and author of ‘Talk, Don’t Pop,’ Isla guides us through understanding and managing emotions with our kids, validating others' feelings, and handling emotional overload. We all carry scars from our past, some deeper than others. Just because you have a mother doesn't mean she was capable of offering the love and nurture you need. The episode is your guide to healing, including recognizing those mother wounds, connecting with your inner child, establishing boundaries, re-parenting yourself, and ultimately working towards forgiveness- not for others but for yourself.
