Welcome to another show here at, "Your Place"! One thing for sure we seem to enjoy the study into the life of David more at the beginning then we do later in his life. But if we are honest.  David being a man after God's own heart is shown more in his mistakes and how he responds to keep his relationship with GOD.  He made no excuses and owned up to his mistakes as he saw them for what they were through the eyes of GOD! For sure the times they lived in are so much different then the life we live today.  It makes some of the things we read in the bible so foreign to our way of thinking.  We live in a time where words like GOD and christian is said but what we see is so far removed from really obeying GOD!  Wild Bill feels that in many church bible studies that we try to highlight the good and leave out the bad of people in the bible.  To bad we don't do that with people in our church.  Maybe that is why people today are so quick to try to justify their actions or quit church.  If we try to put a fictional picture to the negitive aspects of people in the bible.  Are we forgetting that all scripture is given by inspiration of GOD for our good! We have to admit, this is not your childrens bible story study of David.  This teacher is bringing this to us in a school format and pushes bounderies of our sensibilities with the pictures he paints in your mind. Just because it makes us uncomfortable does not mean that he is wrong!  Maybe we were never meant to be comfortable in our mental picture we get of things like the end of David's life.  Teaching should equip people on what to do if they fall.  Can you say you don't see the fingerprints of GOD on David's life when he fell?  Instead of trying to make a fairy tale story of the bible we need to be real on how we teach and apply scripture to our life! Not saying this teacher is always right,but it expands your mind!

Welcome to another show here at, “Your Place”. Last weeks show had us looking at King David and how he messed up royally! Get it?  Bill and his humour! This week this mature topic of the bible continues with David being confronted by his own sin after he cast judgment on it.  Can you imagine what kind of situation that would be?  To be sitting as the judge over the people and a little word play is used for a case to be adjudicated over by you.  Probably wished he had not been so hasty with his judgment when he found out that he was the one who violated GOD's law! I wonder how many times we get on our high horse when it comes to judging situations that we feel above. I also wonder if we are like David and not seeing real life, in the eyes of a real GOD.  Are we missing that we are neck deep in the same situations we are judging in others.  Many people teach and preach on the curse of sin and how these things can become generational curses. Some people do not believe this is possible to create a situation under grace that can become a curse to our next generation. As we start to look at the family of David. Maybe you can see something in this that you never have seen before that speaks of a generational curse. As always, you can push the number 1 on your phone. This Bible study is not like anything we have ever heard before.  This is taught in a school setting and the teacher is well educated due to his knowledge of other written works from that time, the historical time lines, and the geography of the area. We mention this due to tonights lesson.  This teacher is pretty graphic in his description of the story.  With that being said.  We promise this teacher will get you to thinking outside of the box in a good way, from what you may have heard in Sunday school. Welcome to another show here at, "Your Place".  Tonight we are going back to our bible study.  We left off with lesson 25 and got the start of David that was going to become King.  Tonight we start with David fleeing for his life and his adventures that followed. For those that are new to this study.  You can go out our archives, or to our Your Place FB page and find the links there.  This is not your normal sunday school bible study.  We found several disk at a yard sale and the rest is now history.  Wild Bill has always tried to get us to look outsiide of the box in looking at the study of GOD! For sure this teacher brings that to the table.  This class was taught in a school setting and not a church setting.  This teacher teaches this course having been to the locations discussed in the bible, studied most if not all of the historical writings from back in that time, has a strong grasp of understanding the time line of the bible, and he teaches the bible as the inspired word of GOD.  I want to warn you he paints a graphic picture sometimes that will shake your sunday school picture you may have on events that are recorded in the bible.  Not saying he is 100% right, but it will get you to going back into your bible and rethinking a lot of what you may have pictured in error.  We sometimes read the bible like a fable or fairy tail.  We forget these are reall people with real emotions, real struggles, and with a normal thought process just like people of today.  As always we open up the microphones for comments or questions at the end of the lesson.  Just push the number 1 at the end of the lesson and you will be identified by the last four digits of your phone number when I place you on the air.

Welcome to another show here at, "Your Place". Tonight we are bringing you a show to honor a hero of the faith. George Hanna. You may remember that Wild Bill mentioned Bro. George during his show on the spiritual wounded warriors.  Bro George finished his race on January 23rd. at the age of only 74.  Wild Bill wanted to have this show to give people a place where they could share the impact Bro. George had in their llife. The investment he made into Bill as a young man showed a lot of the nature of how he took his light and shared it with others.  For those that have church during our show time. As the song that started this show tonight lets us know we serve a GOD who allows  things in our path to draw us closer to HIM and show HIS power in helping us overcome.  We sometimes judge people who are crying out for help because we have no understanding.  Dr. Bruce Klein has been a friend to this show for years. Welcome to another show here at, "Your Place". We want to thank everybody that provided us with comments and support for last weeks show. That was probably the hardest I have ever seen Wild Bill work on a blog talk radio show.  Tonight we are going back to our one year bible study.  From the song, you have probably guessed the show is going to talk to us about David. As always we want to remind everybody that this teacher is not speaking in a church setting.  This is a school course.  What we love about it is that he speaks of the bible in histroy, and geography.  He has been to all of the places of the bible, and he has studied all of the historical writings from back in the time of the bible.  What make this teacher unique is that he knows that the bible is the inspired word of GOD! We do not always agree with everything he brings to us but in following his research it does bring things to light that you may have missed in your church study of the bible. Next week we are going to bring you a show based on PTSD.  We sometimes forget that this effects people in church of people who have been subjected to horrific things like you get in military combat. These people need our prayers and we need to be able to recognize those that may need help but ashamed to ask for it. Welcome to the first show of 2019. Are we the only people who look at that number and think this does not seem possible that this could be the real date? Speaking of the date.  We want to wish Blog Talk Mom a Happy Birthday! Wild Bill always tells people that he would not be the man he is without her.  She is always is quick to say, only the good part! We have not finished our bible study, but Wild Bill wanted to bring us something from his heart to start off this year.  We will be going back to our bible study the following week. This must be something special because Wild Bill has been trying to get this done for the last 3 weeks.  I have heard about lots of tears, and lots of recordings being tossed out in an effort to get this right. The song that started our show tonight is a inspiration to people of faith.  Except for the times your right in the middle of a struggle where the victory is doubtful.  Probably greek to most of you that never have doubts and fears.  This show is to try to do two things.  One, provide hope to those wounded warriors of the faith by providing support, and to hopefully share insight to spiritual leaders of a people that has been left wounded on the battlefield that needs spiritual CPR!. I remember when people used to tell us how they lost a parent we would tell them that we understood what they were feeling.  Only to find out that when it was our loss, that we really did not have a clue what it was like to lose a parent.  God spoke to Wild Bill about being misunderstood, being injured, and how to let the weight go while visiting Pastor Russel Henson's church in Bald Knob, Arkansas. At the time Wild Bill put this introduction together he is still at a loss of how to share this experiance as it needs to be shared. Hopefully Pastor Henson will be able to join the show later and will have the missing parts of what it is that Jesus is wanting us all to see.

If your time is like ours it feels like we are either working at our job, working in church, and putting this show together.
