This week is all about nutrition. Specifically, I want to finally do some research on some popular myths that I have believed for years, ones that have finally had some science done behind them. Today specifically, I want to once and for all debunk the myth that eating more frequently increases metabolism. The main reason I want to find out about this one is because intermittent fasting success would rely on the answer to this question.
You won't have to wait much longer because today I answer this question once and for all.

For a while I wanted to do an episode that focused on ways to enhance the brain, to make sure it is running optimally. In doing so I came across an article about MCT oils. While they seem to be becoming a trendy new supplement, there is something to be said about their efficacy.
Today I talk about the benefits of MCT oil, not just for brain health, but all over fitness.

It seems only fair that I discuss extroverts today with the same level of depth that I did yesterday with introverts. Some introverts may disagree, saying that extroversion is lauded in our society and those who are introverts are marginalized and even represented as weak or lacking.
Obviously as we know from yesterday, that is not even close to the case. Both personality traits have value. And to our point for both days, the more we understand who we are and how we interact with the world the more able we are to create our life as opposed to having it created for us.
Today I will share an article by Kendra Cherry, the same blogger who taught us about introversion. Like yesterday, I will share three challenges for you to try.

I will be the first to admit I do not know a great deal about introverts. I do know enough to say that introverts are typically characterized as being shy, yet that pat definition is not only inaccurate, it's not that substantial.
Today, thanks to my good friend Jason Lee (Guest of Episode XXX) I will talk about what an introvert truly is. And to his great suggestion, offer 5 challenges for introverts to help them experience life in a different way, a growing way that might not be their first choice. As we all know, growth can come from a variety of places, and it's best to embrace them all.

Do you remember back in the days of ZEN commuter when I was trying to figure out the best way to help you become calm and purposeful? You can't? Well, it was 700 episodes ago. Let me give you a reminder. I was thinking that productivity would be an awesome way to accomplish that goal. It definitely helps. You know though what ended up winning out, talking about ways to be calm and see the world in a more positive space.
Maybe, I am feeling a little nostalgic today since it is a centennial episode, but I thought I would harken back to the days of productivity and talk today about one of my more valuable productivity tips.
At first it may seem way retentive, but if you want a purposeful life, then you will want to check it out.

Today I am not sure how I got to the podcast topic I did, but I sure am glad that it happened. For the past week I have been thinking about why people say that they want one thing and do everything that is in opposition to that goal.
The only thing I can think of is that people are unaware of their values, the things that matter to them. For instance, if you say you want this to be the year that you lose weight and you have taken no steps to change that or have even altered your eating in a negative direction, it's pretty clear that you are not going to lose weight, and back to my original premise, the idea of not losing weight was not truly important or it would have been nurtured.
I came across the seven deadly sins and wanted to talk about how avoiding them leads to a happier life. Then I thought it was way too religious. Then, as I was looking through my idea book I came upon a note, 5 words that make up my life. I thought that if they could help me then possibly they could help you too.

it is part of our genetics; not handed down from mother or father, but from time and humanness. We all yearn to belong, to fit in. It was a necessity in the caveman days and even many years after, maybe even millennia. Perhaps that is why it is so hard for many people to give up that belief; that to belong is an absolute necessity. Obviously not everyone believes that, but the majority of people do.
Is it so wring to fit in? Fit in? Yes. Belong? Not at all. There is a big distinction between belonging and fitting in. One is forced and the other is natural.
Today I want to share a great article with you that I cam across that helps each of us understand that fitting in should not be the end goal.
