  • EP37 Bites: 60 Second Sell
For the 60 Second Sell this week we're talking about tow cars under $40,000. Considering international travel is still off-limits, it's a good time to hook a caravan to the back of a car and hit the road!

  • EP37 Bites: Supercar vs Super SUV
For Dean's game this week, we have to guess which vehicle is faster out of a bunch of supercars and super SUVs. It's harder than it sounds...

  • EP37 Bites: News
This week we're discussing speed records with the Landspeed event going down in Reparoa tomorrow. We also cover the Giltrap Supercar Show that's happening next month.
David's in to talk about Polestar's entry into the New Zealand market, and how we can't say the 'V' word.
And Dean talks about Murray Walker's death as well as a pet peeve relating to fuel.

  • EP36: Racing Ray Williams
When you meet a man with two first names, one of them being 'Racing', you know that he's serious about speed - and Ray Williams certainly is.
The Kiwi racing legend joins us in studio this week, on his 75th birthday, to talk about his land speed record and the incredibly fast Porsche 930 Turbo that he did it in.
We've finally found a winner in our 'Greatest Ute of All Time' bracket, and are happy to announce that Barry Crump's trusty Toyota Hilux has come out on top.
It was a close final, but the Toyota beat FPV's F6 Tornado by around 20 votes, to take the title.
We're also talking about NISMO's $600K R32 GT-R restoration program, in which the Japanese brand will restore your Skyline to a factory-fresh condition.
This week for Expert Car Picks, we're talking about the government's new 'Clean Car Standard', and the cars that we would choose within the restrictions.
If you aren't familiar with this standard, it will take effect next year, requiring car importers to meet progressively lower emissions targets, falling to 105 grams of C02/km average by 2025. If they don’t, they could face fines from 2023.
The move is designed to further push the demand for electric, hybrid and plug-in hybrid vehicle technology. There are currently no new cars with conventional internal combustion engines that meet the 105 grams per kilometre target. The closest is the 1.2-litre manual Suzuki Swift, which is 106 grams per kilometre.
