We’re living in exceptional times. We’ve been in lockdown for over 2 months here in India.  Just last week, the Government announced a stimulus package for businesses, and there have been about 120,000 confirmed cases and over 3000 deaths due to the coronavirus. 

In this podcast, we examine India’s Covid-19 response in further detail from a Global-lens. We compare and contrast what has happened here with what governments, institutions, and societies have done elsewhere in the World, new innovation stemming from the current crisis how that could help India leapfrog progress, and really understand the larger impact of all of this going forward.

Srinivas Thiruvadanthai is Managing Director and Director of Research, at the Levy Forecasting Center in New York. Aside from Economics, which is his main expertise, Sri also has an interest in banking, technology, and psychology. He has been an active voice on social, economic, and political matters concerning India. 

Balaji Srinivasan is a technologist, investor & entrepreneur based in Silicon Valley. Balaji has earlier been CTO at Coinbase (a digital currency exchange) and also co-founded, Counsyl, a genomics company, which was acquired for $375M in 2018. He has been an active voice on COVID and was also one of the first people to advocate its seriousness.
