Today on the Art + Business + Murals Podcast I am speaking with Derbyshire letterpress artist, Sarah Phelps of Sarah and Maude. 

In this interview we talk all things design and letterpress, burnout and balance. 

Sarah has always loved stationery, and she can’t actually remember a time when she didn’t want to be a designer, so it was probably inevitable that she’d end up where she is today.

Sarah spent the first decade of her career in the design agency world, but after rediscovering her love for letterpress – a love that began at university – she left agency life behind to pursue her passion for handcrafted stationery. Since launching Sarah and Maude in 2012 she has worked with hundreds of clients, in the UK and beyond, and she still has the same passion for thoughtful design and quality craftsmanship that she did over a decade ago.
