Women own 42% of all businesses in the United States. That’s 13 million businesses! Yet women still face unique challenges, including revenue and capital disparities…
So what can we do together to ensure women in business (especially in the pet industry business) can continue to see growth and overcome the unique hurdles thrown their way?
Well, for starters, we can tell each other’s stories and lift each other up.
And in honor of Women’s History Month, we’re doing that by sharing the journeys of TWO women making an impact (and history) in the pet industry.
Today’s inspirational guests are:
✨ Heather Coots, the CEO of King Wholesale Pet Supplies, which is a national distributor out of Northern California, board member of the World Pet Association, and Pet Boss Club member.
✨ Liz Schmitt, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Packer Mellem, and co-owner of Momentum Carnivore Nutrition, a freeze-dried manufacturer of dog and cat treats, toppers, and food, and also a Club member.
Heather and Liz have very different stories about their journey through the pet industry, but both stories ultimately point to the same point:
Women are making BIG waves in the pet industry, and you can achieve anything you want.
Get ready to find out how things have changed in this industry over the years, what opportunities there are for women now (including becoming a certified woman-owned business), and where we can expect the trends to take us, especially given the fiery passion women are bringing to the table.
