We hear from Emily McCoy who is a professional counselor working at Laurel House, a domestic violence agency in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. Laurel House serves individuals, families, and communities throughout Montgomery County, PA.

Emily earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from West Chester University (PA) and a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Villanova University (PA). 

She began work at Laurel House in January 2019. After volunteering for a few months, she accepted a position as an individual and support group counselor. 

You can feel Emily's energy throughout this podcast. Her ideas and insights on how to help abused individuals makes this a compelling episode.
