Hola and welcome to Cafecito and Crime Episode 1.  HAPPY CINCO DE MAYO! We are sooooo happy to be here. Estela and I (Barbara) are sister in laws but more like just actual sisters now. We love reading, listening and discussing true crime. So why not do it and let everyone hear it as well? We are a BBA (bilingual bad assess) so we will be speaking both languages in the podcast. This will be a lighthearted podcast in which we will sometimes laugh, but in no way is it at the expense of the victim or anyone affected by the crime. We mean no disrespect towards anyone.
In this episode, we will be talking about the 2008 murder of Ruby Frayre. Her mother Maricela Escobedo turned into a Mexican activist for missing women while searching for justice for the murder of her daughter.
