Be The Exception In Special Education

10 Ways to Rock Your SPED Observations

Listen Later

We all know how valuable - and necessary - observations are. As teachers, we learn about our students every day from observing them. Their strengths as well as the areas upon which we need to focus. But knowing the value of observation doesn't make it any easier when the person being observed is… you!

I'm here to share with you 10 tips to help you ROCK your next observation. By being as prepared as you can - and remembering to breathe - you'll be able to show your admin( and anyone else who stops in) just how well you run your class and what a fantastic SPED teacher you are.

In this episode you will learn:

  • How to prepare your students
  • Why it's essential to include tech in your lessons
  • About the advantages of pre-teaching your lesson
  • How to prepare in advance when you know in advance
  • The importance of staying calm and keeping your sense of humor
