Tim Barry. Avail. I am so stoked to type these words to you as I had a lengthy conversation with the vocalist of Avail, Tim Barry. This band is truly special and we discuss all things Avail, reunions, instinct and living frugally. He's such a gem of a human I can't wait for you to dive in and listen.

I am excited to share with you all a podcast I executive produced called Labeled: Deep Dive - Underoath. Host Matt Carter (Emery) walks the band through their new record and tells the bands history through that lens. This is the first episode and follow along with the feed here.

If you need to feel good today, listen to a little Gameface. Then, come back here and listen to this great chat with the frontman of said band, Jeff Caudill. We go into his extensive experience in the Orange County hardcore and punk scene, his design work and finding positivity in the midst of darkness. I loved this discussion and think you will to.

Anxious just put out one of my favorite LP's of this year. I know the year JUST started but you have to listen to "Little Green House" immediately. To celebrate I had my new friend Grady Allen, the vocalist of the band, on this week. He had a cold when we spoke, so pardon any stuffiness he had. We get into Connecticut hardcore, growing up musically in public and being active in the scene. Have fun!

Mario Rubalcaba is an incredible drummer and he has played in some of my favorite bands, which by default makes him one of my favorite drummers. Joking aside, I was excited to have a conversation with Mario about his time as a pro skater, the early 90's punk and hardcore scene as well as how he's collaborated with so many people across a wide variety of musical projects. Listen and enjoy!

(programming note, my microphone cord was broken so it was picking up my backup audio, so I sound a little distant...sorry about that!)

Boy oh boy do we have a great chat on this weeks podcast with Johnathon Ford from prolific post-rock outfit Unwed Sailor and the often overlooked Roadside Monument. We dive into the discussion with gusto and talk about the early Tooth and Nail years, longevity and playing insturmental music. Enjoy!

All hail Alien Boy! Releasing one of my favorite LP's from last year, Alien Boy is a damn good band that you need to know about. Sonia Weber sings and plays guitar for the band, so naturally I had to pick her brain and find out more about them. We talk about the Portland DIY scene, her life in teaching guitar and the DIY Montana scene (no joke). Enjoy and hopefully you find your new favorite band after this discussion!

Gimmie a break, I get to hang out with Page Hamilton from Helmet on this very podcast? Yep, it happened and it was glorious. We discussed how the band never fit into any real scene, keeping his enthusiasm intact and working in the major label system for as long as they have. Get it!

What a treat this week as we have my friend Todd Mackey from With Honor on the podcast. They recently signed with Pure Noise Records and are in the process of getting some new music ready for 2022. We go in depth about faith, open heartedness and his life after the band in the donut trade (seriously).
